npharma& is looking for a talented AI & Machine Learning Intern to join our team in Hyderabad.

nThis internship is designed for candidates with a strong technical foundation in artificial intelligence and machine learning who are looking to apply their skills to real-world business problems.

nWe are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate practical experience through academic, personal, open-source or professional AI/ML projects.

What you will work onnAs part of the team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to AI, machine learning and data-driven initiatives, potentially including:

- Developing and evaluating machine learning models
n
- Exploring Generative AI and Large Language Model applications
n
- Working with structured and unstructured data
n
- Supporting proof-of-concepts and AI prototypes
n
- Data preparation, exploratory analysis and feature engineering
n
- Experimenting with LLM APIs, open-source models and AI development frameworks
n
- Exploring Retrieval-Augmented Generation, semantic search and vector databases
n
- Supporting the development of scalable AI and analytics solutions
n
- Working alongside colleagues across data, analytics, digital and business functions

QualificationsnCandidates should have

n

n
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree, or currently be studying towards a degree, in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field
n
- Solid Python programming skills
n
- Hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy and Scikit-learn
n
- Hands-on experience with at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
n
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, probability, statistics and mathematical concepts relevant to machine learning
n
- Demonstrated experience building, training and evaluating machine learning models
n




- Ability to select and interpret appropriate evaluation metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, ROC-AUC, RMSE or similar
n
- Understanding of data preparation, feature engineering, exploratory data analysis, model validation and model optimisation
n
- Working knowledge of Git and GitHub
n
- Understanding of Large Language Model concepts, including tokenisation, embeddings, encoder/decoder architectures, prompting, context windows, pre-training and fine-tuning
n
- Hands-on experience using an LLM API, open-source LLM or AI development framework
n
- Familiarity with prompting and in-context learning
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
n
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical problems
n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical work clearly
n

Demonstrable AI/ML project requirednApplicants must have at least one AI, machine learning or data science project that they can demonstrate and explain in detail during the interview.

Internship requirementsnCandidates must be able to work full-time and in office from our Hyderabad office for the full six-month internship.
