Job Summary

We are looking for a Manager – Accounts with strong experience in plant finance, cost accounting, budgeting, monthly closing, inventory control, and financial analysis. The role will involve partnering with plant and cross-functional teams to drive cost optimization, ensure financial accuracy, and support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial & Budgeting Activities

- Monitor monthly revenue and budget vs. actual performance.
- Analyze and provide justification for budget variances and cost overruns.
- Monitor personnel costs and welfare expenses.
- Support statutory audit requirements, including P&L; and Balance Sheet variance analysis.
- Drive initiatives for reduction of variable and fixed costs.

2. Plant Finance Activities

- Validate cost-saving initiatives proposed by plant teams.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement manufacturing cost-reduction opportunities.
- Monitor plant financial performance and identify areas for improvement.

3. Costing Activities

- Handle product costing and conversion cost calculations.
- Calculate activity rates and support cost analysis.
- Conduct periodic inventory analysis and support annual inventory processes.
- Monitor inventory controls and identify variances.

Monthly Accounts Closing

- Manage monthly provisions and expense analysis.
- Analyze major expense categories and their financial impact.
- Prepare financial and operational reports for management.
- Conduct analysis of key parameters such as:

- Plant capacity utilization

- Productivity

- Manpower costs

- Revenue and operating expenses
- Support timely release and monitoring of budgets.

5. Other Responsibilities

- Perform ledger scrutiny and ensure timely clearance of outstanding items.
- Monitor capital expenditure and vendor advances.
- Validate IRR and financial aspects of capital expenditure proposals.
- Prepare and submit data required for statutory and business surveys.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of financial information.

Functional Competencies
- Strong experience in plant finance and cost accounting.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Hyperion/HFM.
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Ind AS and SEBI LODR.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, variance analysis, costing and inventory management.
