Job Description: Logistics Executive

Position Summary

The Logistics Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the transportation, storage, and distribution of dairy products to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining product quality and cold-chain standards.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Dispatch Management

- Plan and coordinate daily dispatch of milk, dairy products, and other finished goods.
- Ensure timely delivery of products to distributors, retailers, and customers.
- Monitor vehicle movement and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with transport vendors for efficient product distribution.

Inventory & Warehouse Coordination

- Maintain records of incoming and outgoing stock.
- Coordinate with production and warehouse teams for dispatch planning.
- Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) to minimize product wastage.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or excess stock.

Cold Chain Management

- Ensure dairy products are transported and stored under prescribed temperature conditions.
- Monitor vehicle hygiene and cold-chain compliance.
- Report any deviations affecting product quality.

Documentation & Compliance

- Prepare dispatch documents, invoices, e-way bills, delivery challans, and transport records.
- Maintain accurate logistics and transportation records.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, transportation, and company policies.





Vendor & Transport Management

- Coordinate with transporters for vehicle availability.
- Negotiate transportation rates when required.
- Monitor transporter performance and delivery efficiency.
- Resolve transportation-related issues and delays.

Reporting & Coordination

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports.
- Track delivery performance, transportation costs, and vehicle utilization.
- Coordinate with Sales, Production, Purchase, and Accounts departments for smooth operations.

Qualifications

- Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or any related field.
- Diploma/Certification in Supply Chain or Logistics Management preferred.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in dairy, FMCG, food processing, or cold-chain logistics preferred.

Working Conditions
