Synthesia Video Editor

We are looking for a freelance E-learning Multimedia Specialist to create educational videos and graphics for online courses.

Responsibilities

- Create 16 videos per course:
- 6 module/unit overview videos
- 10 targeted explainer videos
- Create 10 supporting graphics.
- Write simple scripts and outlines based on course content and learning objectives.
- Produce and edit videos using Synthesia.
- Create and configure AI avatars when needed.
- Add and check captions for every video.
- Provide alt text for every graphic.
- Follow branding, quality, and accessibility standards.
- Make revisions based on feedback from the Instructional Designer and Subject Matter Expert.
- Upload completed files to the designated folder using the correct naming system.
- Notify the Instructional Designer and Builder when assets are ready.
- Communicate promptly and report any delays or production problems early.

Requirements

- At least 2 years of experience using Synthesia and Canvas.
- Experience creating educational or training videos.
- Basic graphic design and video-editing skills.
- Understanding of captions, alt text, and accessible multimedia.
- Ability to follow scripts,



learning objectives, and style guides.
- Robust attention to detail and factual accuracy.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- Ability to review and correct AI-generated content.
- Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards is preferred.

Project Details

- Project-based freelance/independent contractor role.
- Videos should generally be completed within 5 business days of receiving the required content.
- The contractor will upload finished assets but will not embed them into the Canvas course.
- The Builder is responsible for placing assets inside Canvas.
- Contractor must provide a completed W-9 and handle their own taxes.
- All project materials must remain confidential.
- All work created for the project belongs to the client.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is not only an animator or graphic designer. They are an e-learning video specialist who can combine Synthesia video production, basic graphic design, accessibility, and online-course workflows.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
