Job Summary

The Night Nursing Incharge is responsible for supervising and coordinating all nursing activities during the night shift. The role ensures delivery of protected, high-quality patient care, compliance with hospital policies, and adherence to NABH standards. The Night Nursing Incharge acts as the key point of coordination between doctors, nursing staff, and support teams to maintain smooth hospital operations during night hours.

Qualifications

- B.Sc Nursing / GNM / ANM (Mandatory)
- Valid Nursing Council Registration
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) / Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) will be an added advantage

Experience

- Minimum 5–8 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setup

Roles & Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage all nursing operations during the night shift.
- Ensure quality patient care, timely medication administration, and adherence to treatment protocols.




- Coordinate with duty doctors, nursing staff, and support departments for effective patient management.
- Monitor patient admissions, transfers, and discharges during the night shift.
- Ensure proper documentation of nursing notes, treatment charts, and patient records.
- Handle patient and relative concerns or complaints professionally and escalate when required.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control practices and NABH standards.
- Monitor availability and proper functioning of medical equipment and emergency supplies.
- Guide and supervise junior nurses, ward assistants, and support staff.
- Respond to medical emergencies and critical situations promptly.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, and smooth shift handover between nursing teams.
- Report incidents, adverse events, or operational concerns to the Nursing Manager / Management.
