Job Summary

Doora is building a multi-service hyperlocal platform connecting customers with food delivery, Doora Mart, retail shopping, rides, courier services, and home services within their local region.

We are looking for a hands-on Regional Operations Manager to launch, build, and lead Doora's operations in the Marthandam region.

You will take end-to-end ownership of regional operations—from building and managing the regional Operations & Growth team to onboarding restaurants and retail partners, developing the delivery and ride-partner network, overseeing Doora Mart operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving regional growth.

This is not a desk-only management role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in the field, solving day-to-day operational challenges, leading people, and building a high-performing local operation from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

- Team Building & Leadership: Build, train, and manage the regional Operations & Growth team. Set transparent KPIs, daily priorities, responsibilities, and operational processes to ensure effective execution in the field.
- Restaurant & Retail Partner Growth: Identify, approach, onboard, and support restaurants and retail businesses. Ensure menus, product catalogs, pricing, availability, and partner information are accurate and up to date.
- Doora Mart Operations: Oversee the smooth operation of Doora Mart covering groceries, vegetables, and fresh meat, including product availability, order fulfillment, quality standards, inventory coordination, and wastage control.
- Delivery, Ride & Courier Network:



Build and manage the local network of delivery partners and ride drivers across food, Mart, retail, courier, bike, auto, and taxi services. Ensure sufficient partner availability, particularly during peak hours.
- Customer & Partner Support: Ensure fast and effective resolution of issues involving customers, restaurants, retail partners, Doora Mart, delivery partners, and ride drivers. Maintain high service-quality standards across the region.
- Local Growth & Marketing: Plan and execute hyperlocal campaigns, partner promotions, customer-acquisition activities, driver initiatives, and field marketing programs to increase usage across all Doora services.
- Operational Performance: Monitor key metrics including completed transactions, cancellations, fulfillment rates, delivery times, ride availability, customer satisfaction, partner performance, Mart product availability, and wastage.
- Regional Ownership: Take ownership of the overall performance of the Marthandam region and develop it into a successful, scalable operating model that can be replicated as Doora expands into additional regions.
- Performance Reporting: Regularly review regional KPIs and report performance, operational challenges, growth opportunities, and action plans directly to Doora leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in operations, logistics, field sales/growth, retail operations, e-commerce, mobility, food delivery,



or a similar customer-facing business.
- Leadership: Previous experience managing field executives, operations staff, sales teams, delivery personnel, or similar teams. Experience recruiting and building a team is strongly preferred.
- Language: Strong written and verbal communication skills in Tamil and English.
- Field Orientation: Comfortable spending significant time in the field, meeting restaurants and retail businesses, working with drivers and delivery partners, and resolving operational issues directly.
- Problem Solving: Ability to make quick, practical decisions when dealing with customer complaints, partner issues, delivery delays, inventory problems, staffing challenges, and other real-time operational situations.
- Technology: Comfortable using mobile apps, admin dashboards, CRM/business tools, Excel/Google Sheets, and other digital platforms.
- Local Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Marthandam and surrounding areas is a major advantage.
