About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Café Cook to handle daily food preparation and cooking. The candidate should be comfortable preparing simple café-style food, maintaining cleanliness, and working efficiently during busy hours.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook café menu items according to standard recipes.
- Prepare items such as sandwiches, toast, pasta, grilled snacks, fries/snacks, shakes and other café food.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment such as griller, air fryer, blender and coffee/food equipment as required.
- Maintain consistent taste, portion size and presentation.
- Prepare ingredients before opening and ensure proper storage of food.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and utensils.




- Check stock of ingredients and inform the owner when supplies are running low.
- Follow food-safety and hygiene practices.
- Minimize food wastage and control portion sizes.
- Keep the kitchen organized during and after working hours.
- Assist with basic cleaning and closing procedures.

Requirements

- Basic cooking skills and knowledge of café-style food.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
- Good hygiene and cleanliness habits.
