Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Engineer to join our GPS Markets PRISM team and play a key role in building our strategic central client data platform for Global Products & Solutions (GPS).

PRISM serves as the central source of truth for Sales relationships and client intelligence, connecting multiple upstream systems with critical Sales and business applications across the organization. As a senior member of the team, you will help drive the architecture, design, and implementation of a highly scalable, resilient, and secure platform that supports global business operations.

This role requires strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work effectively with business and technology stakeholders across Zurich and Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

- Extensive experience in professional Java development, including core Java and enterprise application development.
- Strong expertise in concurrent and multithreaded programming.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable, highly available, and mission-critical systems.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems and microservice-based architectures.
- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including clean code, design patterns, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Experience translating business requirements and non-functional requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage.

Skill Requirements

- Java, Spring Boot, and modern enterprise application development.




- Event-driven architectures and Apache Kafka.
- Cloud-native development, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
- Microservices and distributed systems design.
- Test-driven development (TDD), JUnit, Mockito, and related testing frameworks.
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
- Monitoring and observability tooling such as Grafana.
- Security fundamentals, authentication, authorization, and secure software development practices.
- Team player.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Ability to work in an agile environment.
