About the role:
The Head of Analytics and Insights will play a critical role in aligning business goals with operational excellence and product advancement. We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader to set up and scale our Analytics function. We are seeking a strategic thinker who can translate data into insights, build intelligent systems, and drive decision-making across Smart Joules.

Key Responsibilities of the role will include:

- Strategic Ownership:
- Design and implement Smart Joules' Analytics roadmap aligned with our vision, mission, and OKRs.
- Build the foundation for data-driven decision-making across all functions.

- Leadership and team development:

Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team to achieve excellence in all areas of analytics. Foster a culture of innovation, eciency, and accountability.
- Hire, develop and lead a high-performance team, providing vision and coaching.
- Promote a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and cooperative teamwork.
- Set up the tools, platforms, and workflows for a scalable analytics engine

- Business Analytics:
- Establish company-wide KPI frameworks and dashboards for OKR progress monitoring.
- Generate strategic insights that guide leadership decision-making.

- Operational Analytics:
- Develop systems for presales, project delivery, operations, and customer experience tracking.
- Provide deep operational insights to drive service excellence and process improvements.

- Product and Tech Analytics:
- Analyze BMS (Building Management System)



and IoT data to drive product development and customer value.
- Embed analytics into the product DNA to improve functionality and user experience.

- Cross Function Collaboration:
- Partner closely with Business, Operations, Tech, and Product teams.
- Present complex data-driven insights in simple, actionable ways to non-technical stakeholders.

- Continuous Improvement:
- Establish feedback loops to refine models, dashboards, and reporting systems.
- Explore advanced analytics methods (e.g., predictive analytics, ML models) as the function matures.

The Ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scaling analytics functions, building teams, and delivering data and insights based business and operational impact for the organisation.

Specific requirements include:

- 8-12 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence roles.
- Demonstrated experience in building analytics functions from scratch or leading high-impact analytics teams.
- Strong technical skills: SQL, Python/R, BI Tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Deep understanding of business KPIs, operational processes, and product analytics.
- Experience working in IoT, SaaS, or Energy Management domains is a plus.
- Strong leadership,



communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Bonus points for

- Master’s or Diploma in Business Administration
- Work experience in HVAC or Allied Industries

10 - 15 years
