School Lab Assistant – Job Description

Position: School Lab Assistant

Key Responsibilities

- Assist teachers during science practicals and laboratory activities.
- Prepare laboratory equipment, materials, specimens, and chemicals before practical classes.
- Help students safely use laboratory equipment under teacher supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper organization of the laboratory.
- Maintain records of laboratory equipment and stock.
- Check equipment and report damaged or missing items.
- Store chemicals, instruments, and other laboratory materials properly.
- Support teachers during experiments and practical demonstrations.
- Follow all school laboratory safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications

- Graduate or Diploma in Science/Laboratory-related field.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
- Positive organizational and communication skills.
- Previous school laboratory experience is preferred.
