We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to manage the complete production operations of our Label Printing Division. The candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling production activities to achieve daily and monthly production targets while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, delivery, and cost efficiency.

The role requires strong knowledge of label printing and converting processes, production planning, manpower management, machine utilization, wastage control, quality standards, and coordination with internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Allocate jobs to appropriate printing and finishing machines according to machine capability and production priorities.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, materials, and production capacity.
- Monitor WIP and ensure smooth movement of jobs between different production stages.
- Coordinate with Planning, Sales, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch departments.

2. Label Printing Operations

- Manage end-to-end production activities related to pressure-sensitive and other label products.
- Oversee printing, coating, laminating, slitting, die-cutting, inspection, rewinding, and packing operations as applicable.
- Monitor machine setup, job changeover, registration, colour consistency, and print quality.
- Ensure correct substrate, ink, adhesive, plate/cylinder, die, and other materials are used as per job specifications.
- Handle production challenges related to print defects, registration issues, colour variation, material wastage, and machine performance.

3. Production Target & Productivity

- Establish and monitor production targets for each machine and production line.
- Track machine productivity, output, downtime, rejection, and wastage.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and machine utilization.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.




- Reduce setup and changeover time through systematic production practices.
- Drive continuous improvement in production processes.

4. Quality Control

- Ensure production is carried out according to approved artwork, job specifications, samples, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department to maintain consistent product quality.
- Minimize rejection, rework, customer complaints, and process-related defects.
- Ensure proper inspection at critical stages of production.
- Investigate production-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain traceability and proper production documentation.

5. Wastage & Cost Control

- Monitor raw material consumption and production wastage.
- Control wastage of paper, film, adhesive, ink, liner, labels, and other consumables.
- Analyze major sources of material loss and implement reduction measures.
- Optimize material utilization during job planning and production.
- Monitor production costs and support initiatives to improve cost efficiency.

6. Manpower Management

- Manage operators, supervisors, helpers, and other production staff.
- Allocate manpower according to machine loading and production requirements.
- Monitor employee productivity, discipline, attendance, and performance.
- Conduct training and skill development programs for production personnel.
- Develop a multi-skilled workforce to improve operational flexibility.
- Maintain proper shift handover and communication systems.

7. Machine & Maintenance Coordination

- Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to minimize machine breakdowns and downtime.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
- Monitor machine performance and identify recurring breakdown issues.
- Ensure proper machine settings and operating procedures are followed.




- Support maintenance teams in identifying production-related machine problems.

8. Inventory & Material Coordination

- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase teams for timely availability of production materials.
- Ensure availability of substrates, inks, adhesives, dies, plates, cores, packaging materials, and other consumables.
- Avoid production stoppages due to material shortages.
- Monitor material usage against job requirements.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of production materials.

9. Production Documentation & MIS

- Maintain daily production reports and shift-wise production records.
- Monitor production quantity, wastage, rejection, downtime, and machine efficiency.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production MIS reports.
- Analyze production performance against planned targets.
- Maintain records related to job cards, production quantities, material consumption, and rework.

10. Safety & 5S

- Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures.
- Promote proper use of PPE and safe machine operating practices.
- Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards across the production floor.
- Ensure safe handling of inks, chemicals, adhesives, and other production materials.
- Identify workplace hazards and take preventive measures.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
