Job Title:

Freelance manuscript writer – Deep Learning for Intelligent Transportation Systems

Job Purpose:

To conduct research focused on revising and strengthening a manuscript that proposes TIP-VTP (Turning Intention Prediction – Vehicle Trajectory Prediction), a two-stage hybrid deep learning framework for long-horizon vehicle trajectory prediction at signalized urban intersections. The researcher will use Python (PyTorch) to implement, reproduce and validate the models on the Peachtree dataset, and will apply strong academic writing skills to produce a technically accurate, journal-ready manuscript.

Required Qualification:

· Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.

· Specialization in Deep Learning, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Autonomous Driving, or Time-Series/Trajectory Forecasting.

· Publications in peer-reviewed journals or conferences (e.g., Scopus,IEEE, Elsevier, Springer) on trajectory prediction, driver behaviour modelling, or ITS will be an added advantage.

Tools to be Familiar:

· Python (3.x) with PyTorch for building and training LSTM, BiLSTM, GRU, multi-head attention and GAN models evaluation.Hugging Face Transformers (GPT-2) for extracting pretrained trajectory embeddings.

· Matplotlib/Seaborn for publication-quality plots, and FastDTW for trajectory similarity evaluation.

· MS Word/LaTeX, reference managers (Mendeley, EndNote or Zotero) and diagramming tools (draw.io or Visio) for manuscript preparation.

Required Experience:

· Proven experience in conducting academic or industry research in deep learning-based vehicle trajectory prediction, maneuver/driver intention recognition,



or related ITS domains.

· Hands-on experience implementing and training sequence models and Generative Adversarial Networks in Python/PyTorch, including handling training instability such as mode collapse and exploding gradients.

· Experience in writing and revising research papers for high-impact journals, including preparing point-by-point responses to reviewer/Client comments.

Required Knowledge/Skills:

· Python Programming: Strong proficiency in Python and PyTorch, with the ability to write clean, modular and reproducible code (fixed random seeds, deterministic CUDA settings, vehicle-level train/test splits to prevent data leakage).

· Deep Learning Architectures: Understanding of LSTM/BiLSTM, GRU, multi-head attention, Transformers and conditional GANs, including composite loss design and hyperparameter tuning (AdamW, cosine annealing, label smoothing, gradient clipping).

· Academic Writing Skills: Excellent scientific English, with the ability to write a coherent literature review, research gap, methodology with correct mathematical notation and equation numbering, and results and discussion, using consistent IEEE-style referencing, explicit figures and tables, and plagiarism-free writing.

Job Description:

· Revise and edit the manuscript for clarity, technical accuracy and consistency, correcting equations, symbols, table/equation numbering, research questions, contributions and citations in line with the target journal's author guidelines.

· Prepare a point-by-point response to reviewer comments and support the final submission of the manuscript.
