We are looking for an experienced and highly competent Pharmacy Operations Manager / Chief Pharmacist who can take responsibility for day-to-day pharmacy operations and help build the business from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pharmacy Operations

Manage day-to-day retail, wholesale and online pharmacy operations

Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy and drug regulations

Supervise pharmacists, counter staff, warehouse and order-processing staff

Establish SOPs for purchasing, receiving, storage, dispensing, billing and dispatch

2. Purchase & Vendor Management

Source medicines from authorised distributors/companies

Negotiate purchase prices, schemes and credit terms

Develop and maintain supplier relationships

Identify high-margin and rapid-moving products

Control purchasing and working capital

3. Inventory Management

Maintain accurate inventory and batch records

Implement FEFO (First Expiry, First Out)

Monitor near-expiry and slow-moving stock

Minimise stock-outs, dead inventory and expiry losses

Conduct regular physical stock reconciliation

4. Retail Pharmacy

Ensure professional handling of prescriptions

Supervise dispensing operations

Improve customer service and repeat purchases

Develop OTC/product-category sales while maintaining regulatory compliance

5. Wholesale Business

Process wholesale orders





Develop relationships with doctors/clinics/institutions and eligible trade customers where legally permitted

Manage customer credit limits and collections

Monitor wholesale margins and profitability

6. Online Pharmacy

Supervise online order processing

Prescription verification

Picking, packing and dispatch

Returns, cancellations and customer complaints

Coordinate with delivery partners

7. Business Development

Identify opportunities to increase pharmacy revenue

Develop strategies for increasing average bill value and repeat customers

Identify profitable product categories

Help build the wholesale customer base

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is:

Highly responsible and trustworthy

Commercially minded

Strong in inventory management

Comfortable negotiating with suppliers

Experienced in pharmacy software/POS systems

Positive with numbers and margins

Capable of managing a team

Comfortable working in a high-volume environment

Willing to take ownership rather than simply perform dispensing duties

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in:

Large retail pharmacy chains

Pharmaceutical distributors/stockists

Retail + wholesale pharmacy

E-commerce pharmacy

Multi-branch pharmacy operations will be preferred.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month

Education:

- Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

- Clinical pharmacy: 10 years (Required)
