Manager – Accounts (AR, AP & Controls)

Role Summary

We are looking for an Accounts Manager to take ownership of the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and accounting controls functions.

The role will involve leading billing, collections, vendor payments, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and the accounts team across multiple sports infrastructure projects. The position will also be responsible for providing management with reliable insights on cash flow, outstanding dues, and project-wise financial positions.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounts Receivable & Collections

- Own the complete billing cycle, including review of running/RA bills, final bills, and invoices against work orders, measurements, and client certifications before submission.
- Own receivables ageing and collection strategy by setting project-wise and client-wise targets, reviewing them weekly, and escalating overdue accounts.
- Coordinate with commercial and project teams to resolve certification delays, disputes, and deductions.
- Support negotiations related to withheld amounts and outstanding receivables.
- Oversee tracking of retention money, security deposits, EMD, and bank guarantees,



including release dates and renewals.
- Review documentation for recovery cases and coordinate with legal counsel where dues need to be formally pursued.
- Review provisioning for doubtful debts and bad debts, including appropriate accounting treatment for write-offs.

2. Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

- Approve vendor and subcontractor bills after verification against POs, work orders, and site measurements.
- Plan and prioritise vendor payments based on cash flow and project requirements.
- Review vendor reconciliations and advance adjustments.
- Resolve vendor payment disputes and ensure timely closure.
- Ensure compliance with applicable MSME payment timelines.

3. Cash Flow, Reporting & Controls

- Prepare and present cash flow forecasts and project-wise receivable/payable positions.
