Job Role

St. Xavier’s High School, Deoghar is looking for an experienced and dedicated PGT Biology Teacher to teach Biology in the Senior Wing and prepare students effectively for school and board examinations.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Biology to Classes VII - XII with strong conceptual clarity.
- Plan and complete the prescribed syllabus within the academic schedule.
- Conduct Biology practicals and maintain proper laboratory standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers and revision material.
- Conduct tests, evaluate answer sheets and analyse student performance.
- Prepare students thoroughly for Board Theory and Practical Examinations.
- Provide remedial support to academically weaker students and advanced practice to high-performing students.
- Check notebooks, assignments, practical files and projects regularly.
- Maintain classroom discipline and monitor student academic progress.
- Participate in PTMs and communicate student performance to parents.
- Perform examination, invigilation, substitution, assembly and other assigned school duties.
- Participate in Science exhibitions, competitions, school events and academic activities.
- Attend departmental meetings, staff meetings and teacher-training programmes.
- Contribute positively to the overall academic environment of the school.

Qualifications

- Postgraduate Degree in Biology / Zoology / Botany / Life Sciences or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. from a recognised institution.
- Strong command of Biology at Senior Secondary level.




- Good communication and classroom-management skills.
- Previous experience teaching Classes VII–XII is preferred.
- Experience in Board Examination preparation will be an advantage.

Our Expectation

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
