About the Project

The Guru Vandanam Project of VANDANAM TRUST is undertaking a deep, systematic study of education models and systems across the world.

Our objective is not simply to identify “successful” education systems, but to understand:

What works? Why does it work? What does it fail to address? What is missing? And what can we learn from different systems to envision better possibilities for the future of education?

We are looking for a sincere, disciplined and intellectually curious volunteer to contribute to this long-term research initiative.

What You Will Do

- Research education systems, philosophies and models across different countries and cultures.
- Study curriculum, pedagogy, teachers, learners, assessment, governance and outcomes.
- Conduct comparative analysis across different models.
- Identify strengths, limitations, blind spots and genuine educational gaps.
- Investigate claims using credible and verifiable sources.
- Maintain structured research notes, references and evidence.
- Prepare research summaries, comparative matrices and gap-analysis reports.
- Maintain daily planning, progress reporting and documentation.
- Record challenges, contradictory evidence, unanswered questions and reasoning.
- Work under the guidance of the assigned Senior/Research Lead while contributing independent, evidence-based thinking.

Who Are We Looking For?

Someone who is:

- Passionate about education and human development
- Naturally curious and loves asking “Why?” and “What is missing?”
- Strong in research, reading,



analysis and structured writing
- Comfortable questioning popular assumptions respectfully
- Patient enough for deep, long-term research
- Disciplined and dependable
- Willing to commit at least 2 hours every day
- Comfortable with regular reporting and accountability
- Respectful of organizational hierarchy and senior guidance
- Humble enough to learn and revise
- Courageous enough to document findings even when they challenge an existing assumption

Background in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Research or related fields is welcome—but demonstrated ability and sincerity matter more than a particular degree.

- Occasional/irregular volunteering
- Superficial internet research
- A role without accountability or reporting
- Recognition without sustained contribution

This is an unpaid volunteer position. We are looking for someone motivated primarily by purpose, learning and meaningful contribution.

We are not looking for someone who already knows what the future of education should be.We are looking for someone willing to investigate—honestly and deeply—what education has been, what it is today, what it is missing, and what humanity may need next.
