Job Summary

Rockwoods International School is looking for an experienced Head Cook who can prepare a variety of nutritious and hygienic meals for students and staff in a residential school. The candidate should have good knowledge of different recipes, cuisines, bulk cooking and daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of South Indian, North Indian and other recipes.
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks as per the planned menu.
- Introduce different dishes and recipes to maintain variety in meals.
- Ensure good taste, quality, freshness and hygiene in food preparation.
- Manage daily cooking and kitchen activities efficiently.
- Supervise kitchen assistants and coordinate daily work.
- Maintain proper food storage and kitchen cleanliness.
- Monitor ingredients and kitchen stock.
- Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
- Minimize food wastage and follow proper portion control.




- Follow food safety and hygiene standards.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Head Cook, Master Cook, Senior Cook or similar role.
- Good knowledge of a wide variety of recipes and cuisines.
- Experience in bulk cooking for students, staff or large groups is preferred.
- Ability to independently manage daily kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
- Valuable teamwork and time-management skills.

Candidate Preference

- Local residents are preferred for better suitability to the residential school work schedule.
- Candidates with experience in schools, hostels, hotels or institutional kitchens are preferred.

Salary & Benefits

- Salary: ₹16,000 – ₹21,000 per month, based on experience and skills.
- PF and ESIC benefits are applicable as per company policy and eligibility.
- Full-time employment in a residential school environment.
