Job Title: Maintenance Electrician / Appliance Installation Technician

2. Job Purpose

The Maintenance Electrician / Appliance Installation Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance, servicing, repair and troubleshooting of RO water purifiers, gas chulhas, kitchen chimneys and other electrical/electronic household appliances.

The technician must complete customer service work safely, correctly and on time while maintaining good customer service.

3. Key ResponsibilitiesA. RO Installation & Maintenance

- Install new RO water purifiers at customer locations.
- Connect water inlet, outlet, drain and electrical connections.
- Check water leakage and proper water flow.
- Replace filters, membranes, pumps, SMPS and other RO parts when required.
- Perform regular RO servicing and preventive maintenance.
- Identify and solve common RO problems.
- Explain basic RO usage and maintenance to customers.

B. Gas Chulha Installation & Service

- Install and check gas chulha/stove as per safety requirements.
- Check gas pipe, connection and leakage.
- Replace damaged or faulty parts when required.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning-related service.
- Ensure the appliance is safe before handing it over to the customer.
- Follow all required gas-safety precautions.

C. Kitchen Chimney Installation & Maintenance

- Install kitchen chimneys at customer locations.
- Perform proper electrical connection.
- Install duct pipe and other required accessories.
- Check suction, motor, lights and operating functions.
- Clean and maintain chimney filters and other serviceable parts.
- Troubleshoot common chimney problems.

D. Electrical & Electronic Appliance Work

- Install and service household electrical/electronic appliances.
- Check wiring, switches, plugs, sockets and electrical connections.
- Identify electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty components where authorized.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of motors, pumps, switches, wiring and control components.




- Ensure appliances are working properly after installation or repair.

E. Customer Service

- Visit customers as per assigned service schedule.
- Understand customer complaints and identify the problem.
- Complete service work professionally and politely.
- Explain the work done and any replacement parts to the customer.
- Maintain positive customer relationships.
- Collect service charges/payment where authorized by the company.
- Obtain customer confirmation/signature after completion of work.

F. Tools & Spare Parts Management

- Use tools and testing equipment properly.
- Keep company tools safe and in good working condition.
- Maintain required spare parts and accessories.
- Inform the supervisor about damaged or required tools/spares.
- Avoid unnecessary wastage of spare parts and materials.

4. Safety Responsibilities

- Follow all electrical safety rules during installation and repair.
- Switch off the power supply before working on electrical equipment.
- Follow proper safety procedures while working with gas appliances.
- Check gas leakage before completing gas-related work.
- Use appropriate safety equipment and tools.
- Do not perform work beyond the technician's authorization or skill level.
- Report any major safety issue immediately to the supervisor.

5. Daily Work Responsibilities

- Check the daily service/installation schedule.
- Carry required tools, spare parts and accessories.
- Visit assigned customer locations on time.
- Complete installation, maintenance and repair work.
- Test the appliance after completing the work.
- Update service/job status.
- Record replaced parts and materials used.
- Take customer confirmation after completing the job.
- Report pending or major technical issues to the supervisor.

6. Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and electrical safety.
- Knowledge of RO installation and servicing.
- Knowledge of kitchen chimney installation.




- Basic knowledge of gas chulha installation and safety.
- Basic knowledge of electrical/electronic appliances.
- Ability to use a multimeter and basic electrical tools.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work at customer locations.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

7. Educational Qualification & Experience

Qualification:

- ITI Electrician / Electrical trade preferred.
- Diploma in Electrical/Electronics is an advantage.

Experience:

- 0–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Fresh ITI candidates with practical knowledge may also be considered.

- Requirement of expensive spare parts.
- Repeated customer complaints.
- Damage to company/customer property.
- Any work that requires specialized technical support.

11. Job Summary

The Maintenance Electrician / Appliance Installation Technician will be responsible for providing safe, timely and quality installation, maintenance and repair services for RO systems, gas chulhas, kitchen chimneys and other electrical/electronic household appliances while ensuring customer satisfaction and company service standards.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
