Security Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an Security Engineer to take ownership of our internal IT infrastructure, endpoint management, access control, and cybersecurity operations. This is not a traditional IT support role. We are looking for someone who can proactively manage and secure our IT environment, improve existing systems, implement security controls, and ensure our devices and infrastructure are properly managed and monitored.

Key Responsibilities

Endpoint Management & Security

- Manage company laptops and endpoints across Windows and macOS environments.
- Administer MDM/UEM solutions such as Microsoft Intune, ScaleFusion, Jamf, or similar
- platforms.
- Implement device policies, application controls, encryption, patching, and compliance requirements.
- Manage endpoint protection/EDR and monitor device security.
- Maintain accurate device and IT asset inventory.
- Automate device provisioning and employee onboarding/offboarding wherever possible.

IT Infrastructure

- Manage and maintain internal IT infrastructure, networks, Wi-Fi, VPNs, firewalls, and related
- systems.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and network issues and identify permanent solutions.
- Monitor infrastructure availability, performance, and security.
- Manage backup and recovery processes.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers where required.

Identity & Access Management

- Administer Google Workspace / Microsoft 365 environments.
- Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and role-based access.
- Implement and enforce MFA and access-control policies.
- Conduct regular access reviews.
- Ensure access is immediately and correctly revoked during employee offboarding.

Cybersecurity

- Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies and controls across the organisation.
- Monitor endpoints, accounts, and infrastructure for security risks.
- Manage antivirus, EDR, firewall, VPN, encryption, and security configurations.
- Identify vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation.




- Conduct regular security and access audits.
- Support incident investigation and response.
- Improve the organisation's overall security posture and reduce unnecessary access and risk.

IT Operations

- Handle L2/L3 IT escalations and support junior IT administrators where required.
- Maintain IT policies, SOPs, infrastructure documentation, and security documentation.
- Track recurring IT issues and implement long-term solutions rather than repetitive manual fixes.
- Identify opportunities to automate IT administration and security processes.

Required Skills

- 3-5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Systems Administration, Endpoint Management, or IT Security.
- Strong Windows administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with MDM/UEM platforms.
- Good understanding of networking, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and Wi-Fi infra
- Experience administering Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365.
- Understanding of IAM, MFA, RBAC, and access-control principles.
- Experience with endpoint security, encryption, patch management, antivirus/EDR, and device compliance.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and security best practices.

Positive to Have

- Microsoft Intune / Entra ID experience.
- ScaleFusion or Jamf experience.
- Google Workspace administration experience.
- Cloud exposure to GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience implementing security policies in a growing organisation. organis
- Knowledge of vulnerability management, SIEM, DLP, or security monitoring tools. Relevant Microsoft, Google, networking, cloud, or cybersecurity certifications.

What We're Looking For

We want someone who takes ownership of the IT environment, rather than simply responding to support tickets.

You should be comfortable identifying weaknesses, recommending improvements, improvements, implementing solutions, and ensuring our infrastructure and endpoints remain secure, controlled, documented, and reliable

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
