Job Title: Lab Assistant

Role Overview

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to support the effective functioning of school science laboratories. The ideal candidate should assist teachers during practical sessions, maintain lab equipment, and ensure a safe and organized lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist teachers in conducting practical sessions for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology labs
- Prepare lab setups, apparatus, and materials before practical classes
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety standards in the laboratories
- Handle, store, and label chemicals and equipment properly
- Ensure all lab equipment is in working condition and report any damage or shortages
- Maintain records of lab inventory, stock, and usage
- Support students during experiments and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Dispose of waste materials as per safety guidelines
- Assist in procurement and stocking of lab materials and consumables
- Help in maintaining lab registers and documentation

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:





- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Science (Physics / Chemistry / Biology) or related field

Experience:

- 1–3 years of experience as a lab assistant (school experience preferred)
- Freshers with relevant knowledge may also be considered

Skills Required

- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures
- Understanding of safety protocols in school labs
- Organizational and inventory management skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping

Additional Expectations (Residential School Setup)

- Willingness to stay and work in a residential school environment
- Availability to support lab work as per academic schedule
- Participation in school activities when required
