Injection Molding Machine Maintenance Engineer

Job Responsibilities

- Responsible for preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical problems in injection molding machines.
- Maintain and troubleshoot servo motors, hydraulic pumps, proportional valves, solenoid valves, heaters, thermocouples and temperature controllers.
- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFD/servo drives, sensors, proximity switches, limit switches, relays and contactors.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, pressure circuits, filters and oil leakage.
- Maintain machine heating and cooling systems, including barrel heaters, cooling-water circuits, chillers and temperature controllers.
- Troubleshoot injection unit, clamping unit, hydraulic systems and machine safety/interlock systems.
- Attend machine breakdowns and identify the root cause to minimize production downtime.
- Carry out scheduled PM activities and maintain machine history, PM checklists and breakdown records.
- Monitor machine parameters such as hydraulic pressure, temperature, cycle time and motor/servo performance.
- Maintain auxiliary equipment such as hopper loaders, dryers, chillers, cooling towers, mold temperature controllers and granulators.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve machine and process-related problems.




- Maintain critical spare parts and coordinate with stores and purchase departments.
- Support installation, commissioning and modification of new machines and automation systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions for repeated breakdowns.
- Follow LOTO, electrical safety, machine safety, 5S and company maintenance procedures.

- Reading electrical and hydraulic circuit diagrams.

Qualification

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
