What This Role Is

GAJAN Group runs brands across e-commerce, beauty, wellness, travel, music and software from Mohali and Toronto. We are an AI-first company in practice, not in a pitch deck: our content engine, our hiring machine and our marketing systems already run on AI. This seat is the engineer who builds and owns that layer across the whole portfolio: production systems, end-to-end automations, integrations, and applied R&D; as a core duty. Half the job is inventing the approach, because our problems span eleven businesses and no tutorial covers them. A prototype that proves an approach in two days is worth more here than a perfect system in two months. You work directly with the founder on what gets built next.

What You Will Do

· R&D; as a core duty: evaluate new models, tools and techniques the week they release, prototype fast, and decide what deserves production and what gets discarded

· Solve problems nobody has written the tutorial for: invent the approach, document it, ship it

· Build production AI systems: agent workflows, LLM pipelines, RAG over our business data, structured outputs other systems consume

· Automate operations end to end: content generation pipelines, lead handling, reporting bots, internal tools the team uses every day

· Integrate everything: our CRMs, e-commerce stores, ad platforms, WhatsApp, and the APIs between them, with error handling that survives real traffic

· Own reliability: monitoring, fallbacks, cost control per token and per task, and the judgment to know when NOT to use a model

· Ship weekly:



working systems in production, measured by hours saved and revenue touched, not demos

What We Are Looking For

· A shipped AI system with real production numbers you can defend: requests per day, hours saved, cost per task, revenue touched

· Proof of no-playbook problem solving: a novel problem, the dead ends you hit, and how you found the approach that worked

· Architecture judgment: given one of our real automation problems, you can design the system, name the failure modes, and estimate the running cost

· Production scar tissue: you know where AI systems actually break (hallucinations, cost blowups, silent failures) because you have personally hit it

· Full-stack execution: APIs, webhooks, databases, deployment: you ship alone, end to end

· An honest, current AI-assisted development workflow, and honesty about what did not work: true numbers are the culture here

· Written clarity: designs and updates a founder reads in two minutes

E-commerce or marketing automation domain experience; WhatsApp Business API; GoHighLevel or CRM ecosystems; voice AI; open-source contributions.
