Position Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, stylish and customer-focused Fashion Stylist to help clients select and style ethnic and occasion wear.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of fashion, colours, fabrics, silhouettes and draping techniques, with the ability to understand customer preferences and create complete looks for weddings, festive occasions and celebrations.

The role combines personal styling, saree/dupatta draping, customer consultation, sales support and showroom presentation.

Experience

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Fashion Styling, Ethnic Wear, Bridal Wear, Designer Boutique or Premium Fashion Retail.
- Candidates with strong saree/bridal styling and draping experience will be preferred.
- Experience working with premium/HNI customers is an advantage.
- Exceptional candidates with strong practical styling and draping skills may be considered even without the preferred formal qualification.

Educational Qualification

- Degree/Diploma in Fashion Designing, Fashion Styling, Apparel Merchandising, Fashion Communication or a related field preferred.
- Strong practical experience may be considered in place of a formal fashion qualification.

Must-Have Skills

- Excellent saree and dupatta draping skills
- Strong knowledge of Indian ethnic and bridal wear
- Good understanding of fabrics, colours, silhouettes, embroidery and embellishments
- Ability to create complete looks including saree/lehenga, blouse, dupatta, jewellery and accessories
- Understanding of body proportions and occasion-appropriate styling
- Strong customer consultation and communication skills
- Ability to work confidently with premium customers
- Sales-oriented with a consultative, non-pushy approach
- Basic understanding of blouse design, alterations and garment construction
- Strong visual sense and attention to detail
- Good showroom presentation skills

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Styling & Consultation

- Understand customer requirements, preferences, body proportions, budget and occasion.
- Assist clients in selecting sarees, lehengas, gowns and Indo-western outfits.
- Create complete looks by coordinating garments, blouses, dupattas, jewellery and accessories.
- Provide personalised bridal and occasion-wear styling.
- Help customers visualise the final look and make confident purchase decisions.
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide a premium shopping experience.

Draping & Presentation

- Professionally drape sarees, dupattas and lehengas for customers and mannequins.
- Demonstrate different draping and styling options based on the outfit and occasion.
- Maintain attractive mannequin styling and showroom presentation.
- Ensure garments are displayed neatly and according to current trends.

Fashion & Product Knowledge

- Stay updated with fashion trends, colours, fabrics, silhouettes and styling techniques.
- Suggest styling ideas suitable for different age groups, occasions and customer preferences.
- Develop robust knowledge of Indian textiles, embroidery, craftsmanship and ethnic-wear aesthetics.
- Maintain strong product knowledge to confidently explain the design, fabric, workmanship and styling possibilities of each garment.

Customisation Support

- Understand customer requirements for customisation and alterations.
- Coordinate with tailoring, embroidery, design teams and karigars for customer requirements.
- Assist customers in selecting blouse patterns, sleeve designs, necklines, fabrics and styling details.




- Ensure customer requirements are communicated accurately to the relevant team.

Sales Support

- Build rapport and understand the customer's buying motivation.
- Recommend products based on occasion, styling requirements and budget.
- Convert styling consultations into sales through personalised recommendations.
- Contribute towards showroom sales targets while maintaining a premium customer experience.
- Follow up with customers where required.

Inventory & Showroom Management

- Ensure proper handling, tagging, folding and maintenance of garments.
- Monitor availability of key styles and coordinate with the relevant team.
- Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of styling areas.
- Ensure garments used for trials and styling are returned properly to their designated locations.

- Strong aesthetic and colour-coordination skills.
- Excellent practical saree and dupatta draping ability.
- Able to understand a customer's personality, body proportions, occasion and budget and translate these into a complete look.
- Patient, persuasive and comfortable working with high-value customers.
- Strong product knowledge and willingness to continuously learn about fabrics, crafts, embroidery and fashion trends.
- Has a natural ability to style rather than simply sell.
- Comfortable working weekends, festive seasons and extended showroom hours when required.

Pay: ₹21,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
