Powder Coating Maintenance Engineer Department: Maintenance / Engineering Industry: Manufacturing / Powder Coating Experience: 2–5 Years Job Responsibilities - Responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance of the complete powder coating line. - Maintain and troubleshoot powder coating booths, spray guns, reciprocators, pumps, conveyors and powder recovery systems. - Maintain and troubleshoot curing ovens, burners/heaters, temperature controllers, thermocouples and exhaust systems. - Troubleshoot electrical panels, MCC panels, PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, contactors, relays, VFDs and control circuits. - Monitor and maintain conveyor systems, gearboxes, motors, bearings, chains and pneumatic systems. - Troubleshoot compressed-air systems, pneumatic valves, cylinders, FRLs and air leakage. - Perform preventive maintenance according to the maintenance schedule and maintain PM records. - Attend machine breakdowns and identify root causes to reduce downtime. - Maintain critical spare parts and coordinate with stores/purchase for required spares. - Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions to improve machine reliability. - Ensure proper calibration and functioning of temperature controllers, sensors and other instruments. - Support installation, commissioning and modification of new powder coating equipment. - Maintain maintenance reports, breakdown reports, PM checklists and machine history records.



- Coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve process and equipment-related issues. - Follow 5S, safety procedures, LOTO and company maintenance standards. - Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions in the powder coating area. Required Skills - Strong knowledge of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance. - Knowledge of PLC, VFD, sensors, control panels and automation. - Knowledge of motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors and pneumatic systems. - Knowledge of powder coating process equipment and curing ovens. - Ability to read electrical control diagrams and basic mechanical drawings. - Good troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills. - Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance. - Basic knowledge of MS Excel and maintenance documentation. Qualification Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or related engineering discipline. Key Performance Areas - Reduction of machine breakdowns and downtime. - Completion of preventive maintenance as per schedule. - Improvement of equipment reliability and availability. - Reduction of maintenance cost and spare consumption. - Safe and efficient operation of the powder coating line.
