About the Role

Tesla Scans and Health Care is looking for an experienced and skilled MRI Technician to join our diagnostic imaging team in Kunnamkulam. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of hands-on experience in MRI operations, strong technical knowledge, attention to patient safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform MRI examinations according to physician referrals and established protocols.
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality diagnostic images.
- Explain MRI procedures to patients and provide appropriate instructions before and during examinations.
- Screen patients for MRI safety risks, including implants, metallic objects, and other contraindications.
- Ensure proper patient positioning and select appropriate imaging sequences and protocols.
- Monitor patients throughout the examination and respond appropriately to any discomfort or emergency situation.
- Maintain accurate patient records, examination details, and imaging documentation.
- Follow radiation-free MRI safety protocols and all applicable healthcare and infection-control standards.
- Perform routine equipment checks and promptly report technical issues or malfunctions.
- Coordinate effectively with radiologists, radiographers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the MRI room and related equipment.
- Handle patients professionally, respectfully, and with empathy.




- Support quality assurance procedures and contribute to maintaining high standards of diagnostic imaging.

Requirements

- 4+ years of relevant experience as an MRI Technician/Radiographer.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Radiology/Radiological Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, or a related field.
- Strong practical knowledge of MRI procedures, protocols, and safety standards.
- Experience handling different types of MRI examinations and patient conditions.
- Good understanding of MRI contraindications and patient screening procedures.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the radiology team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and composure in a busy diagnostic environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, if required.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with contemporary MRI systems and different imaging protocols.
- Knowledge of PACS/RIS and digital imaging workflows.
- Good patient-care and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to image quality.
- Ability to handle emergency situations appropriately.
