Role Overview

Noble Resource Products (nRp) is looking for an experienced and highly execution-oriented Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations for our growing stationery and paper-products business.

The Production Manager will be responsible for production planning, machine utilization, manpower management, quality, wastage control, preventive maintenance coordination and timely completion of production targets.

The role requires someone who can manage a multi-process manufacturing environment covering notebook production, printing, binding and finishing operations while continuously improving productivity and reducing manufacturing costs.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Execution

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on sales requirements, inventory and dispatch schedules.
- Convert production targets into machine-wise and shift-wise plans.
- Ensure production orders are completed on time and according to required specifications.
- Coordinate paper, covers, boards, PP sheets, wire, inks, packaging material and other inputs with stores and purchase teams.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action before they affect dispatch commitments.
- Maintain optimum WIP between printing, binding and finishing departments.

Machine & Capacity Management

Manage and optimize utilization of production equipment including:

- Automatic notebook-making lines
- Offset and web printing machines
- Digital printing equipment
- Cutting and paper-converting machines
- Single and double Wiro/spiral binding lines
- Punching and binding machines
- Lamination equipment
- Foiling and premium finishing equipment
- PP sheet/file production equipment as introduced
- Other stationery manufacturing and finishing machinery

Monitor machine speed, output, downtime, setup/changeover time and rejection levels.

Productivity & Cost Control

- Establish output benchmarks for individual machines and production lines.
- Monitor actual output vs planned output every shift.
- Reduce paper, board, ink, wire, PP and packaging wastage.
- Improve manpower productivity and machine utilization.




- Reduce changeover and idle time.
- Track production cost per SKU/product category.
- Work continuously toward higher output without compromising product quality.

Quality Control

- Ensure products meet nRp quality standards for paper, ruling/printing, cutting, binding, cover finishing, page count and packaging.
- Establish in-process quality checkpoints rather than depending only on final inspection.
- Investigate recurring defects and implement root-cause corrective actions.
- Ensure premium products receive appropriate production and finishing controls.

Manpower Management

- Allocate operators, helpers and supervisors according to production requirements.
- Monitor attendance, productivity and discipline on the production floor.
- Develop operator skill matrices and identify training requirements.
- Reduce dependency on individual operators by developing backup operators for critical machines.
- Establish accountability for production targets at supervisor and machine level.

Maintenance Coordination

- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with machine operators and maintenance personnel.
- Maintain machine downtime records.
- Ensure breakdowns are attended to quickly and root causes are identified.
- Maintain critical spare-parts requirements for major production equipment.
- Ensure machines are properly cleaned, lubricated and maintained according to manufacturer recommendations.

MIS & Reporting

The Production Manager will maintain and report key manufacturing KPIs including:

Production Achievement % | Machine Utilization | OEE | Output/Hour | Downtime | Rejection % | Paper Wastage % | Material Wastage | Manpower Productivity | Production Cost | On-Time Production Completion

A concise production MIS should be submitted to management daily, with detailed weekly and monthly performance reviews.

Key Performance Indicators

Performance will primarily be measured on:

- Achievement of production targets
- On-time completion of production orders
- Reduction in paper and material wastage




- Machine utilization and OEE improvement
- Reduction in machine downtime
- Reduction in rejection/rework
- Manpower productivity
- Production cost control
- Product quality consistency
- Production-floor discipline and process compliance

Candidate Profile

Education: Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Printing, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline preferred.

Experience: Preferably 7–15 years in production/manufacturing, with experience in printing, notebook manufacturing, paper conversion, stationery, packaging or a related industry being highly desirable.

The ideal candidate should have robust experience in production planning, shop-floor management, machine utilization, manpower handling, quality systems, wastage control and preventive maintenance.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
