JOB DESCRIPTION – MECHANICAL ENGINEER

### Job Summary

We are looking for a *Mechanical Engineer* responsible for supervision and execution of mechanical installation, erection, alignment, inspection and commissioning activities at the project site. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that various mechanical items/equipment are installed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project requirements.

### Key Responsibilities

* Supervise and execute installation and erection of various *mechanical equipment, machinery, structures, piping and associated mechanical items* at project site.

* Study and interpret *approved drawings, layouts, specifications, BOQ and installation procedures*.

* Coordinate and supervise installation of equipment and mechanical components as per approved drawings and manufacturer's recommendations.

* Ensure proper *positioning, leveling, alignment, bolting, grouting and fixing* of installed equipment/items.

* Monitor day-to-day site installation and erection activities and ensure work is completed as per project schedule.

* Coordinate with civil, electrical, instrumentation and other project teams for smooth execution of mechanical installation activities.

* Supervise manpower, subcontractors and technicians engaged in mechanical installation works.

* Conduct/coordinate inspection of installed items and rectify installation-related deficiencies.

* Assist in *testing, trial runs and commissioning* of mechanical equipment wherever required.

* Ensure that all installation activities comply with applicable *safety, quality and project specifications*.





* Maintain records of installation progress, inspections, measurements, material usage and work completion.

* Coordinate with the client/consultant/site representatives for inspections, approvals and resolution of site issues.

* Identify material, manpower, tools and equipment requirements for installation activities.

* Check materials received at site and ensure proper storage and handling of mechanical items.

* Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and provide updates to the Project Manager/Site In-charge.

* Ensure proper housekeeping and protected working practices at the work site.

* Resolve technical and site execution issues related to mechanical installation in coordination with senior engineers and the project team.

### Required Qualifications

* *B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering* from a recognized institution.

* Relevant experience in *mechanical installation, erection and site execution* will be preferred.

* Good knowledge of mechanical drawings, equipment installation and site execution procedures.

* Ability to supervise contractors, technicians and site manpower.

* Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

### Preferred Experience

Experience in installation/erection of *industrial mechanical equipment, piping, pumps, valves, tanks, structures, ducts, conveyors or other project-specific mechanical items* will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
