Job Description

We are looking for a Back-End Developer with 1–3 years of experience to join our development team.

The candidate should have good hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript and should be comfortable working with databases, REST APIs, authentication, real-time communication, and server environments.

The role involves developing and maintaining backend applications, APIs, databases, real-time services, and integrations used by web, mobile, and other client applications.

The ideal candidate should have experience or a strong understanding of Node.js, TypeScript, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, WebSocket, MQTT, Firebase Authentication, REST APIs, Git, and Linux/Ubuntu servers.

Knowledge of React.js will be considered an added advantage.

Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.

* Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs.

* Develop reusable backend modules, services, utilities, and libraries.

* Integrate backend APIs with web, mobile, TV, and other client applications.

* Work closely with front-end and mobile developers to integrate APIs and backend services.

* Design and maintain database structures using MySQL and MongoDB.

* Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database performance.

* Implement caching and high-performance data access using Redis.

* Develop real-time communication features using WebSocket/Socket.IO or similar technologies.

* Implement MQTT-based communication for device and IoT applications.





* Implement authentication and authorization using Firebase Authentication, JWT, and role-based access control.

* Integrate third-party APIs and external services.

* Implement proper input validation, error handling, logging, and security measures.

* Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.

* Troubleshoot and resolve application, API, database, and server-related issues.

* Perform database migrations, data transformation, imports, and exports.

* Manage application configurations across development, staging, and production environments.

* Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.

* Write unit and integration tests where required.

* Maintain API and technical documentation.

* Monitor and troubleshoot applications running in production environments.

* Work with the team to identify and resolve performance and reliability issues.

Required Technical Skills

Node.js & TypeScript

* 1–3 years of practical experience in backend development.

* Strong knowledge of Node.js.

* Good hands-on experience with TypeScript.

* Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.

* Good understanding of:

* Event-driven programming

* Error handling

* npm

* Experience developing production-ready backend applications.





* Experience with Fastify and/or Express.js is preferred.

Education

* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

* Candidates with strong practical development experience may also be considered.
