Accountant – Job Description

Job Title: Accountant / Accounts Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant / Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations, sales and purchase entries, collections, payments, bank transactions, stock-related accounts and financial records.

Key Responsibilities

* Daily sales, purchase, receipt and payment entries

* Maintain cash book and bank transactions

* Record customer credit and collection details

* Verify sales bills, purchase bills and expenses

* Maintain supplier and customer ledgers

* Monitor outstanding payments and receivables

* Reconcile cash, bank and customer accounts

* Coordinate with sales and delivery teams for daily transactions

* Maintain proper documentation of invoices, receipts and expenses

* Assist in monthly financial reports and account closing

* Support GST, TDS and other statutory accounting requirements

* Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of company financial information





Required Qualifications

* B.Com / M.Com / equivalent qualification preferred

* 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred

* Freshers with good accounting knowledge may also apply

* Good knowledge of MS Excel

* Knowledge of accounting software such as Tally is preferred

* Basic understanding of GST and general accounting principles

* Good communication and coordination skills

* Strong attention to detail

Preferred Candidate

* FMCG / Trading / Distribution company experience preferred

* Experience handling customer collections and outstanding accounts will be an advantage

* Ability to work independently and maintain daily accounting discipline

Salary: ₹10,000 – ₹20,000 per month, based on experience and skills.
