Position description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our RMHS - Mechanical department at Jindal Stainless Limited, a leading company in the Mining & Metals industry. The role involves overseeing mechanical engineering projects, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven project management capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to support the company’s operational excellence and strategic objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and equipment within the RMHS department to support mining and metals operations.
- Manage and supervise mechanical maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime of plant machinery.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for mechanical failures to enhance system reliability and safety.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and safety to align mechanical engineering solutions with operational goals.




- Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project proposals to support decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate and recommend recent technologies, tools, and equipment to improve mechanical processes and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in all mechanical engineering activities.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians to build a competent and motivated mechanical engineering team.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for procurement, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
