As part of our founding pre-opening crew, you will play a pivotal role in establishing La Kera’s reputation for warmth, elegance, and service excellence.

Job Overview

We are looking for an articulate, polished, and guest-focused Waitress / F&B; Service Associate to join our pre-opening team. You will serve as the frontline ambassador of La Kera’s culinary narrative, guiding patrons through our traditional dishes and delivering flawless table service in a refined, food-focused (alcohol-free) dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Opening Phase:

Participate actively in pre-launch operational setups, station staging, and service sequence drills.

Learn and master La Kera’s menu items, flavor profiles, preparation techniques, traditional pairings, and allergen information.

Collaborate with management and culinary teams to fine-tune service standards prior to opening day.

Daily Operations:

Welcome guests with warmth and poise, seating them comfortably and presenting the menu.

Act as an informed menu consultant—explaining regional preparations (Appams, Malabar roasts, coastal curries, and signature accompaniments) with confidence.

Record orders accurately via the POS system, ensuring seamless communication of dining preferences and special requests to the kitchen.





Execute high-standard food service with proper table etiquette, tray handling, and timing.

Anticipate guest requirements throughout the meal, handle requests promptly, and ensure a memorable dining experience.

Clear courses discreetly, reset tables to brand specifications, process bill payments (cash, card, UPI) accurately, and bid guests a warm farewell.

Uphold strict food safety, sanitation, and front-of-house cleanliness standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

Prior experience as a Waitress or Service Associate in a high-quality casual or fine dining restaurant (1–2 years preferred; fresh graduates with a Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management are welcome).

Sound knowledge of or passion for Kerala cuisine and regional culinary culture.

Strong verbal communication and active listening skills in English; proficiency in Malayalam or other local languages is an advantage.

Excellent personal grooming, qualified posture, and guest-first mindset.

Physical stamina to stand, walk, and manage service trays during peak meal services.

Punctual, collaborative, and adaptable to the fast-paced energy of a pre-opening restaurant.
