Job Description – SAP Integration Lead (CPI & BTP)

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Integration Lead with strong expertise in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to drive end-to-end integration strategy, design, and delivery for S/4HANA and hybrid landscapes. The role will lead integration architecture, manage teams, and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems.

- Travel: Based on project requirements

E3 / E4 level (depending on experience and leadership scope)

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Integration Strategy & Architecture

- Define and drive enterprise integration architecture leveraging SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Event Mesh).
- Design scalable integration solutions across S/4HANA, ECC, Ariba, SuccessFactors, IBP, APO and third-party systems .
- Establish integration patterns (A2A, B2B, API-led, event-driven architecture).

Delivery Leadership

- Lead end-to-end integration delivery (design, build, test, deploy).
- Manage offshore/onshore integration teams and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Review technical designs and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.

Technical Expertise (Hands-on Guidance)

- Strong experience with:
- - SAP CPI (iFlows, adapters, mappings, security, exception handling)
- SAP BTP Integration Suite
- API Management & Open APIs
- Event-driven integrations (Event Mesh)

- Experience with IDoc, RFC, Proxy, OData, REST, SOAP,



SFTP integrations
- Knowledge of middleware migration (PI/PO CPI)

Governance & Best Practices

- Define and enforce integration standards, reusable components, and best practices
- Ensure compliance with security, monitoring, and logging frameworks
- Drive DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, transport management)

Stakeholder Management

- Work closely with business, functional teams, and client stakeholders
- Provide solution advisory and integration roadmap
- Support pre-sales, estimations, and architecture discussions

Support & Optimization (AMS)

- Oversee integration support operations, incident resolution, and SLA adherence
- Identify automation and optimization opportunities (e.g., monitoring, alerting)

Skill Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

- 10–15 years of SAP experience with 6+ years in Integration domain
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP CPI and BTP Integration Suite
- Proven experience in S/4HANA transformation programs / AMS engagements
- Experience in PI/PO to CPI migration
- Knowledge of API Management, Event Mesh, and cloud-native integrations
- Familiarity with SAP Activate, Agile delivery models

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to SAP Integration Suite full stack (API Mgmt, Open Connectors)
- Knowledge of hyperscalers (Azure/AWS/GCP) integration patterns
- Understanding of security protocols (OAuth, SAML, certificates)
- SAP BTP / CPI certification is a plus
