Job Summary
International Transmission Ltd. (ITL) is looking for a skilled and responsible Turner to join our Production / Machine Shop team. The candidate should have 1–2 years of hands-on experience in operating conventional turning machines and should be able to perform machining work as per drawings and required dimensions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate conventional lathe / turning machines for machining components.
- Perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, boring and other basic machining operations.
- Read and understand basic engineering drawings and dimensions.
- Set and operate machines as per job requirements.
- Select and use appropriate cutting tools, measuring instruments and fixtures.
- Check component dimensions using vernier caliper, micrometer and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Follow production schedules and complete assigned jobs within the required time.
- Identify machining defects and inform the supervisor when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the machine and work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and company instructions.
- Maintain proper care of machines,
tools and equipment.
Candidate Requirements
- ITI / Diploma in Turner or relevant Mechanical trade preferred.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing / machine shop environment.
- Practical knowledge of conventional lathe machine operation.
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and measurements.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper and Micrometer.
- Valuable understanding of machining operations and cutting tools.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Candidates from nearby areas will be preferred.
- Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹17,000 per month
