About the opportunity

We are currently moving to Microsoft Fabric and are looking for a hands-on Healthcare Data Warehouse Architect who has designed and built not just advised on analytics data architectures for healthcare payers or providers, with a specific focus on claims and revenue cycle data. This is a contract engagement that starts with an architecture assessment and design phase with potential to extend into a longer-term build and delivery role.

You will work directly with our Director of AI Solution Delivery to assess our current architecture, identify gaps, and design and build a modern, scalable data foundation that supports both traditional BI reporting and emerging AI/ML and agentic workloads.

What You Will Do

- Assess our current data architecture and identify structural gaps and technical debt.
- Design a purpose-built data warehouse hybrid architecture optimized for healthcare revenue cycle analytics including structured: claims, insurance transactions (Pmt, Adjs, Denials), AR Aging, Payer data, as well as unstructured document storage and retrieval.
- Architect and implement a clean semantic layer that supports both Power BI reporting and natural language / AI agent query patterns.
- Consult on existing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and modern Azure data services.
- Implement best practices around medallion architecture, data modeling (star schema, Kimball, OBT vs. normalized tradeoffs), and incremental loading patterns.
- Advise on and implement appropriate use of Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, and related services




- Bring hands-on experience with document storage, chunking, and vectorization pipelines for unstructured healthcare data (EOBs, remittance advice, clinical notes) feeding AI/RAG workloads.
- Document architecture decisions, data models, in a way that supports team knowledge transfer.

Required Skills:

- 10+ years of hands-on data warehouse design and build experience architecture documents alone are not sufficient; we need someone who has written the code and built the schemas.
- Deep healthcare domain expertise specifically in revenue cycle, payer/provider data models, and healthcare financial data.
- Azure data platform expertise Fabric, ADLS Gen2, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, Azure Blob/Document Storage.
- Strong SQL and T-SQL skills including query optimization, indexing strategy, and performance tuning on large datasets.
- Star schema and dimensional modeling expertise Kimball methodology, fact/dimension design, SCD handling.
- Power BI integration experience designing data models and semantic layers that perform well in Power BI import and Direct Query modes.
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with both technical and executive stakeholders

Strong Pluses:

- Databricks experience Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, notebooks for data engineering.
- Experience building chunking and vectorization pipelines for unstructured document data feeding RAG and AI agent architectures.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cerner Millennium data models Stage1 tables, CCL, revenue cycle schema.
- Experience with Azure OpenAI / AI Search integration with data warehouse layers.
- Prior experience at a healthcare IT consulting firm or analytics vendor.
- Experience designing data models that support natural language to SQL Agent.

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
