- Receive deliveries: Inspect incoming shipments for damage, verify quantities against delivery notes, and sign for goods.
- Organize stock: Arrange materials efficiently in the warehouse using a logical system (e.g., FIFO - First In, First Out).
- Dispatch goods: Pick, pack, and label items for delivery, transfers, or internal use based on requisition slips.
- Conduct stocktakes: Perform regular physical inventory counts and audit checks to reconcile actual stock with database records.
- Update databases: Log all stock movements (additions, issues, and returns) into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP.
- Manage paperwork: Maintain clean files of purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, and damage reports.
- Monitor stock levels:



Flag low inventory levels to the purchasing department to trigger reorders before stockouts occur.
- Maintain order: Keep the storeroom clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure efficient operations.
- Operate equipment: Safely use forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move heavy items.
- Enforce safety rules: Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety (OHS/WHS) regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
