About the Company

Metal Power Analytical is an analytical instrumentation company headquartered in Mumbai, India. The organization develops solutions that help customers generate reliable material and composition insights through technologies including Arc/Spark, Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES), Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), X-ray Fluorescence (XRF), and Raman analysis. Its R&D; function brings together optics, electronics, mechanical engineering, software, applications, project management, and documentation teams to convert scientific requirements into dependable products. The company's work spans optical systems, spectral measurement, embedded technologies, automation, and instrument performance improvement. This cross-functional environment connects laboratory research with engineering execution, enabling teams to validate concepts, solve technical challenges, and strengthen product capabilities. As part of the optics team, you will contribute to product development from design and prototyping through testing, analysis, documentation, and refinement. Your work will directly support performance targets, project schedules, and ongoing innovation across analytical instrument platforms.

About the Role

As an Optical Executive, you will support the Optics Lead in designing, developing, testing, and improving optical systems and components for analytical instruments. You will connect optical engineering with spectral data analysis, automation, and hands-on prototyping. The role owns the quality and usefulness of technical inputs across development activities: converting requirements into test setups, applying mathematical and image-processing methods to spectral data, and documenting evidence for engineering decisions. You will work across Arc/Spark, OES, AAS, XRF, and Raman-related projects, helping teams meet performance targets and schedules. Success means producing reliable analyses, practical prototypes, well-controlled tests, and clear reports that accelerate product enhancement. You will also contribute ideas that improve optical technologies, data pipelines, and development methods while collaborating with research, engineering, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Support optical system and component design for Arc/Spark, OES, AAS, XRF, and Raman instruments, ensuring concepts align with project requirements, performance targets, and market-driven product needs.

- Work with the Optics Lead and cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate designs, resolve technical issues, and deliver optical development outputs within agreed project schedules.
- Analyze spectral data using algorithms, mathematical models, and image-processing techniques, converting measurements into actionable findings that improve instrument performance and development decisions.
- Implement and optimize MATLAB and Python tools for analysis, modeling, and repeatable evaluation, improving the efficiency, accuracy, and usability of spectral-data workflows.
- Assist with automation data pipelines and integrate practical processing steps that support consistent testing, faster iteration, and dependable evidence across optical development activities.
- Create test setups and physical prototypes using 3D printing, open-source hardware, Zeemax, AutoCAD, and embedded systems to validate concepts before broader engineering investment.
- Maintain design specifications, test results, and progress records, then prepare clear technical reports that preserve traceability and support timely cross-functional decisions.

Essential Skills & Technologies

- Bachelor of Technology in Electronics or Master of Technology in Electronics, with 3+ years of relevant experience developing, testing, or analyzing optical and analytical-instrument systems.
- Practical capability in spectral data analysis, algorithms, mathematical modeling, image processing, MATLAB, and Python, with the ability to turn technical results into performance improvements.
- Working exposure to Zeemax, AutoCAD, embedded systems, 3D printing, open-source hardware, laboratory test setups, and data pipelines for automation and prototyping.

Additional Plus

- Experience supporting optical technologies used in Arc/Spark, OES, AAS, XRF, or Raman analytical instruments, with an understanding of how design choices affect measurement quality.
- Exposure to automation initiatives, instrument prototyping, or embedded test systems that demonstrates the ability to connect software, hardware, and optical validation.
- Strong technical documentation and reporting discipline, enabling traceable specifications, reproducible test results,

and clear communication with research and engineering stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

- You bring an electronics engineering foundation and at least three years of hands-on experience supporting optical, instrumentation, testing, or related R&D; projects.
- You can reason from measurements and models, using spectral analysis, mathematical methods, image processing, MATLAB, and Python to identify issues and improve system performance.
- You are comfortable moving between design discussions and physical execution, including test setups, prototypes, 3D printing, open-source hardware, Zeemax, AutoCAD, and embedded systems.
- You work collaboratively with optics, electronics, mechanical, software, applications, and project teams, keeping technical work aligned with requirements, milestones, and measurable outcomes.

Why Join Us

Metal Power Analytical offers the opportunity to work on real analytical instrumentation problems where optical engineering directly influences product capability and customer value. You will contribute to technologies spanning Arc/Spark, OES, AAS, XRF, and Raman analysis, gaining exposure to multiple measurement principles and development challenges. The role gives you a practical position within a coordinated R&D; structure, working alongside optics, electronics, mechanical, software, applications, project, and documentation teams. This breadth enables you to understand how scientific concepts become tested, documented, and improved products. You will also have scope to strengthen automation, spectral-data workflows, prototyping methods, and optical technologies rather than focusing on a single isolated task. Your analyses, prototypes, test evidence, and technical recommendations will help teams make better development decisions and deliver against performance goals. For an electronics professional interested in optics and analytical instruments, this is an prospect to build depth through meaningful, cross-functional product work.

What We Offer

- A hands-on R&D; role spanning optical design, spectral analysis, analytical instrumentation, automation, prototyping, testing, and product enhancement.
- Cross-functional collaboration with optics, electronics, mechanical, software, applications, project management, and documentation teams across the development lifecycle.
