About the role

Description:

This is your role. What part will you play?

• You’ll be responsible for managing Busduct Incoming, Holding Stores, and Finishing activities, ensuring accurate and timely material flow to the respective manufacturing areas.

• You'll be responsible for receiving incoming materials from common warehouse center and ensuring proper quantity verification, identification, documentation, and system receipt.

• You'll coordinate with Quality, Purchase, Planning, Logistics, and Production teams for timely inspection and clearance of incoming materials.

• You'll ensure proper segregation of OK, inspection-pending, rejected, and blocked materials and maintain clear identification and traceability.

• You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory at Incoming and Holding Stores and ensuring physical stock matches SAP/system stock.

• You'll ensure timely movement of materials from Incoming/Holding Stores to Busduct Assembly and other manufacturing areas as per the production plan.

• You'll monitor material shortages, excess quantities, damaged materials, and discrepancies and coordinate with relevant functions for timely resolution.

• You'll be responsible for maintaining proper storage, preservation, identification, and FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.

• You'll coordinate with Production Planning and Assembly teams to ensure material availability at the required workstation and avoid production stoppages due to material-related issues.

• You'll manage Holding Stores, ensuring materials awaiting inspection, production requirement, rework, disposition, or further processing are properly controlled and traceable.

• You'll manage Finishing Department material flow, ensuring timely availability and movement of materials required for finishing activities.

• You'll be responsible for coordinating and supervising Busduct finishing activities, including painting, touch-up, surface preparation, and other finishing requirements as per defined specifications.

• You'll coordinate with the Finishing Department for receipt, issue, return, and storage of materials and ensure accurate inventory records.





• You'll monitor material pending at Finishing and ensure timely reconciliation of open quantities and physical stock.

• You'll conduct regular physical stock verification and cycle counting and ensure timely closure of inventory discrepancies.

• You'll work on SAP and ensure timely and accurate system transactions related to material receipt, transfer, issue, and inventory adjustments.

• You'll prepare and maintain Stores MIS covering incoming material, stock levels, shortages, pending inspection, blocked/rejected material, and material movement.

• You'll ensure proper housekeeping, 5S, safe material handling, and compliance with EHS requirements within the Stores area.

• You'll identify opportunities for improving material flow, storage utilization, inventory accuracy, and overall Stores efficiency.

• You are a Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineer or Diploma holder in Engineering.

• You've 6–9 years' experience in Stores, Warehouse, Incoming Material, Manufacturing, Inventory Control, or Material Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience in Busduct, Switchgear, Electrical Equipment, or similar industrial manufacturing will be an advantage.

• You have hands-on experience in SAP material management and inventory transactions.

• You have good knowledge of incoming inspection coordination, material identification, stock control, material traceability, and inventory reconciliation.

• You have good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel.

• You have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Stores & Inventory Acumen:

• Strong understanding of Incoming Stores, Holding Stores, inventory control, material handling, and warehouse operations.





• Ability to maintain accurate physical and system inventory and resolve stock discrepancies.

• Good understanding of material identification, traceability, segregation, preservation, and FIFO practices.

• Ability to effectively control inspection-pending, rejected, blocked, and released materials.

Operational Skills:

• Solid ability to plan and prioritize material movement according to production requirements.

• Ability to coordinate with Production, Quality, Planning, Purchase, Logistics, and Finishing teams.

• Strong focus on preventing material shortages and ensuring uninterrupted production.

• Ability to optimize storage space and improve material flow within the factory.

• Experience in stock verification, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and Stores MIS.
