OPERATIONAL & STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP, REGULATORY AUDITS & QUALITY SYSTEMS, PROCESS & TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP, DIGITALIZATION & AUTOMATION, PEOPLE & GOVERNANCE, REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERTISE & PROCESS PURVIEW, MANUFACTURING SECTION EQUIPMENT & OPERATIONAL PURVIEW EXPECTED.

Responsibilities

- OPERATIONAL & STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP
- Direct daily manufacturing and packaging operations across Granulation, Compression, Coating, Capsule Filling, and Packing lines.
- Lead monthly production planning, capacity utilization, and raw/packing material availability to hit delivery schedules.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives, yield enhancement, and process optimization using Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, recent facility expansions, and machinery installation/qualification.
- REGULATORY AUDITS & QUALITY SYSTEMS
- Act as the primary site operational leader for facing regulatory inspections (USFDA, MHRA, WHO Geneva, Indian FDA).
- Enforce strict compliance with cGMP, SOPs, HSE norms, and corporate quality policies across all shifts.
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA), OOS/OOT investigations, market complaints, deviations, and CAPA implementation.
- Deliver regular Quality Management Reviews (QMR) to executive directors and senior executive management.
- DIGITALIZATION & AUTOMATION
- Drive plant modernization through electronic Batch Manufacturing/Packing Records (eBMR / eBPR).
- Oversee end-to-end Track & Trace serialization lines, vision inspection systems, and 360-degree labeling automation.
- Implement automatic weight/inspection systems to optimize line efficiency and minimize scrap.
- PEOPLE & GOVERNANCE
- Manage high-performing teams; handle recruitment, talent development, and annual performance appraisals.




- Identify training needs to ensure technical competence and regulatory readiness of production personnel.
- Foster inter-departmental harmony with QA, QC, Warehouse, EHS, Engineering, and R&D; divisions.

Required Skills

- REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERTISE & PROCESS PURVIEW
- The ideal candidate must possess deep hands-on expertise in managing high-capacity pharmaceutical machinery and automated processing suites.
- MANUFACTURING SECTION EQUIPMENT & OPERATIONAL PURVIEW EXPECTED
- Granulation
- High-capacity RMG (up to 1200 LTS), Fluid Bed Dryers (FBD 200300 KG), and Fluid Bed Equipment/Coaters (Glatt, Tapasya, Alliance).
- Compression
- High-speed rotary presses (Fette 61B/75B, Sejon, Cadmach multi-station presses), auto-weight control, and online dedusting.
- Tablet Coating
- Auto-coaters ranging 24" to 67" size (Ganson, ACG, Glatt) with precision spray rate and air handling systems.
- Capsule & Inspection
- High-speed capsule filling (AF 90T, Planeta 200/MG2), Anritsu check-weighers, and Sensum/NFA auto visual inspection machines.
- Primary Packing
- Countec/CVC bottle packing lines, CAM & Romaco blister packaging machines, Mespack pouch fillers, and ACG blister inspection systems.
- Secondary Packaging
- High-speed cartoning (CAM, PAM Pack Hi-Cart), automated 360-degree labeling, and integrated Track & Trace serialization lines.
