Dermatologist – Skincare (AI‑Led Product Line) India Market | Full‑Time Hybrid working | Works with Cosmetology & AI TeamsRole SummaryThe Dermatologist will be a core member of the R&D; team responsible for validating skincare formulations, ensuring dermatological safety, and reviewing AI‑driven skin analysis outputs. This role works closely with a team of cosmetologists and reports to the Lead Dermatologist , who heads the entire men’s skincare vertical. The dermatologist will act as the scientific and clinical gatekeeper for product efficacy, skin compatibility, and AI accuracy for Indian male skin profiles.Key Responsibilities1. Dermatological Review & Product FormulationEvaluate all skincare formulations developed by cosmetologists for safety, efficacy, and suitability for Indian skin biology.Recommend ingredient modifications based on:Melanin levelsSebum activitySensitivity patternsClimate‑specific skin behaviour (humidity, pollution, UV exposure).Ensure formulations comply with CDSCO, BIS, and global dermatology standards.Conduct patch tests, controlled trials, and tolerance studies.2. AI Skin Analysis ValidationWork with the AI/tech team to validate the accuracy of:Skin condition detection (acne, pigmentation, oiliness, ageing markers).Skin scoring algorithms.Personalised routine recommendations.Review false positives/false negatives and guide improvements in the AI model.Create dermatology‑approved benchmarks for Indian male skin types.Ensure AI outputs align with clinical dermatology principles.3. Collaboration with CosmetologistsWork closely with cosmetologists to refine formulations based on dermatological insights.Provide scientific direction for ingredient selection, concentrations,



and stability.Participate in formulation brainstorming, lab trials, and iterative testing cycles.Train cosmetologists on dermatological considerations for male skin.4. Coordination with Lead DermatologistWork under the Lead Dermatologist who oversees the entire men’s skincare range.Provide regular reports on formulation progress, clinical testing results, and AI validation metrics.Align product decisions with the Lead Dermatologist’s strategic direction.Support in creating dermatology‑backed brand claims and communication guidelines.5. Clinical Testing & ComplianceOversee dermatological testing protocols for all products.Ensure compliance with Indian regulatory frameworks and international safety norms.Maintain documentation for clinical trials, safety assessments, and regulatory submissions.6. Consumer Insights & Product ImprovementAnalyse feedback from early users, dermatology trials, and AI skin scans.Identify common skin issues among Indian men and recommend product improvements.Participate in product roadmap discussions for future launches.Required QualificationsMD/DNB in Dermatology from a recognised institution.3–7 years of clinical dermatology experienceExperience in cosmetic dermatology or formulation review is a robust advantage.Understanding of AI/ML‑based skin analysis tools (preferred but not mandatory).Strong knowledge of Indian skin physiology and environmental stressors.Key SkillsExpertise in dermatological assessment & cosmetic formulation.Ability to interpret AI outputs and guide algorithm improvements.Strong collaboration skills with R&D;, cosmetology, and tech teams.Detail‑oriented, scientific mindset with consumer empathy.Excellent documentation and regulatory understanding.
