QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER Industry: Silica Ramming Mass / Refractory Location: Durgapur, West Bengal / Jamshedpur, Jharkhand Employment Type: Full-time Workplace Type: In office Experience: 8–10 Years Relevant Industries: Refractory, Ceramic, Mineral Processing, Silica/Quartz or Iron & Steel Job Responsibilities • Control and monitor the quality of Silica Ramming Mass from incoming raw materials through to the finished product. • Inspect and test incoming quartz and silica raw materials for chemical composition, moisture content and relevant physical properties. • Conduct Particle Size Distribution (PSD), sieve analysis, moisture testing and other relevant refractory quality tests. • Monitor crushing, screening, grading, blending and mixing processes to ensure adherence to approved specifications. • Ensure batch-to-batch consistency and compliance with established quality standards. • Maintain quality-control records, laboratory test reports, Certificates of Analysis (COA) and batch traceability documentation. • Investigate quality deviations, non-conformities and customer complaints,



and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions. • Support customer trials and coordinate with technical and production teams for continuous product and quality improvement. • Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated and that testing procedures are followed consistently. Candidate Profile • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry • Diploma / Degree in Ceramic Engineering, Refractory Technology, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy or a related technical discipline. • 8–10 years of relevant experience in the Refractory, Ceramic, Mineral Processing, Silica/Quartz or Iron & Steel industry. Preferred Experience Candidates with hands-on experience in Silica Ramming Mass / Induction Furnace Refractories , along with practical knowledge of Particle Size Distribution (PSD), refractory testing, raw-material inspection and quality-control processes , will be preferred.
