Position: Head – pre-primary Location Hyderabad/ Delhi Industry : Publishing Role Overview: Head – Pre-Primary: This is a multi-functional role combining Curriculum Writing, Subject Matter Expertise (SME), and Teacher Training for the Pre-Primary segment (Nursery, LKG and UKG). This role requires a deep understanding of early childhood education, curriculum design, pedagogy and classroom dynamics, together with the ability to train, mentor and inspire pre-primary educators, ensuring that both the curriculum and its classroom delivery are developmentally appropriate, engaging and effective. Roles and Responsibilities 1. Plan and create learning material for Nursery, LKG and UKG students. 2. Write age-appropriate lesson plans, worksheets, activities, stories and assessments. 3. Prepare content for books, classroom use and digital learning platforms. 4. Advise on how young children learn best, applying sound early-childhood pedagogy. 5. Ensure the curriculum aligns with standards such as NCF 2022, NEP 2020, Montessori, EYFS or IB PYP. 6. Review the work of other writers to ensure it suits children’s age and learning level. 7. Stay current with global early-childhood teaching approaches and ideas. 8. Help integrate different subjects (such as language and math) so they work well together. 9. Design and conduct training sessions for pre-primary teachers. 10. Train teachers in classroom management, lesson delivery and tracking student progress. 11. Lead workshops, online sessions and model lessons to improve teaching quality. 12.



Observe classes and provide constructive feedback to guide teachers. 13. Write simple manuals and guides to help teachers use the curriculum effectively. 14. Train teachers in methods for including children with different learning needs. Skills/Expertise 1. Passion for working with young children and supporting early-years educators. 2. Robust organisational and project management abilities. 3. Creativity in content development and training delivery. 4. Familiarity with ed-tech tools, LMS platforms and digital teaching aids. 5. Ability to work collaboratively with academic, creative and operational teams. Qualifications and Experience 1. Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or Child Psychology. 2. 10 years of experience in early childhood education. 3. Prior experience in academic leadership, teacher mentorship or school coordination. 4. Proficient in creating engaging content and delivering impactful training sessions. 5. Preferred: Certifications in Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, or Finland-based early-childhood methodologies. 6. Preferred: Experience with CBSE, ICSE or international curricula (EYFS, IB PYP). 7. Preferred: Exposure to inclusive education and differentiated instruction. Behavioral traits: 1. Patience and warmth in working with young children and early-years educators. 2. Strong communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to coach and inspire teachers. 3. Creative, out-of-the-box thinking in content and training design. 4.
