JOB DESCRIPTION – CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT (CA) Company: Vefes Engineering Pvt. Ltd. Location: Mumbai Department: Finance & Accounts / Project Finance Industry: Solar EPC / Renewable Energy Experience: 4–8 Years Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are looking for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong experience in Project Finance, FP&A;, Financial Modelling, MIS, Cost Control and Commercial Finance to join our Solar EPC business. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating the financial viability of solar projects, managing project-wise financial performance, cash flows, budgets, working capital and management reporting. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Finance & Financial Modelling Prepare and review financial models for solar EPC and renewable-energy projects . Evaluate project CAPEX, OPEX, ROI, IRR, payback period and project profitability . Prepare project-wise cash-flow projections and funding requirements . Evaluate project financing requirements and coordinate with banks/financial institutions. Analyse commercial feasibility of new solar projects and business opportunities. 2. FP&A; and Management Reporting Prepare monthly MIS, P&L; analysis and management dashboards . Conduct Budget vs. Actual analysis and identify major variances. Prepare project-wise profitability and performance reports. Provide financial insights to management for strategic decision-making. Support annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning. 3.



Project Cost & Commercial Control Monitor project CAPEX/OPEX against approved budgets . Analyse procurement and vendor commercial proposals. Review project costing and identify opportunities for cost optimization. Monitor project-wise margins, cost overruns and commercial leakages. Coordinate with Project, Procurement and Operations teams for financial control. 4. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management Monitor project-wise receivables, payables and cash flows . Prepare cash-flow forecasts and payment plans. Monitor customer outstanding and collection schedules. Ensure adequate working capital availability for ongoing projects. Identify bottlenecks affecting the working-capital cycle. 5. Accounting, Tax & Compliance Oversee accounting and financial closing activities. Review ledger scrutiny, provisions and financial statements. Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax and applicable statutory requirements . Coordinate with statutory, internal and tax auditors. Ensure proper accounting of CAPEX, CWIP, project costs and fixed assets . Support Ind AS / applicable accounting requirements. 6. Solar Industry Commercial Finance The candidate should develop an understanding of:



Solar EPC project economics Rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects CAPEX and OPEX structures PPA-based projects Open Access / Group Captive models Solar project revenue and billing Project financing Solar generation and tariff assumptions O&M; cost and long-term project economics Required Skills Robust Financial Modelling and Advanced Excel skills Strong understanding of Project Finance and FP&A; Excellent knowledge of Accounting and Financial Reporting Strong analytical and commercial acumen Budgeting and variance analysis Cash-flow and working-capital management Cost control and profitability analysis Strong MIS and management reporting skills Knowledge of Tally / SAP / ERP systems Good communication and stakeholder-management skills Qualification & Experience Mandatory: Chartered Accountant (CA) Experience: 4–8 years post-qualification experience in any of the following: Solar / Renewable Energy EPC / Infrastructure Manufacturing Project Finance FP&A; / Business Finance Strategic Finance Preferred: Candidates with hands-on experience in solar project financial modelling, CAPEX evaluation, project financing, ROI/IRR analysis and commercial finance .
