About The Role

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team at Egnoto. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing, customizing, and maintaining complex WordPress websites and applications. This role requires a deep understanding of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and extensive experience working with WordPress themes, plugins, APIs, and WooCommerce.

The successful applicant will be responsible for translating client requirements into functional, high-performance websites while ensuring optimal security, scalability, and user experience.

Qualifications The candidate should possess a minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development. A strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery is essential.

Experience in developing custom themes and plugins, especially for WooCommerce, is highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of WordPress architecture, database structure, and API integration, including REST API and third-party APIs. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, as well as CI/CD processes, is required.





Additionally, excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a keen eye for detail are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and maintain complex WordPress websites and applications, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standards.
- Create and modify custom WordPress themes and plugins, particularly for WooCommerce, to enhance website functionality and user experience.
- Design and implement new backend features and functionalities, leveraging PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress APIs.
- Integrate third-party plugins and APIs, including REST APIs, to extend website capabilities and facilitate seamless data exchange.
- Manage database connections and optimize queries for improved website performance and scalability.
- Develop and maintain secure, efficient, and scalable REST API integrations for various web services.
- Oversee website performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security best practices to safeguard websites from vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and clients to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
- Manage end-to-end website projects from initial requirement gathering through deployment and ongoing maintenance.




- Ensure websites are fully responsive, user-friendly, and optimized for speed and performance across devices and browsers.
- Utilize debugging tools such as Chrome DevTools and WP-CLI to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Follow best practices for version control, including Git workflows, and participate in CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Write clean, maintainable code adhering to industry standards and security protocols.
- Continuously update skills and stay current with emerging web development trends and technologies.
