About the Role
Britannica Overseas Education is looking for a Web Scraping & Data Extraction Executive who can collect and extract useful information from websites, online databases, and other digital sources using coding and web scraping techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract data from websites and online sources using web scraping techniques.
- Develop and run scripts for automated data collection.
- Collect data from multiple websites and online platforms.
- Extract information from HTML pages, online databases, APIs, and other sources.
- Clean, organize, and verify extracted data.
- Convert web information into structured Excel, CSV, or database-ready data.
- Automate repetitive data collection and research tasks.
- Maintain and update scraping scripts when website structures change.
- Conduct online research to identify relevant sources and required information.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of extracted data.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Web Scraping, Data Extraction, or a related role.
- Good knowledge of Python or another programming language.
- Practical experience with Web Scraping and Data Extraction.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, JSON, APIs, and website structures.
- Experience with tools/libraries such as BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Scrapy, Requests, or Playwright is preferred.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
- Strong online research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle large volumes of online data.
Qualification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
