About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our remote team. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of professional video editing experience and be comfortable creating engaging video content for social media and digital platforms.

You will be responsible for editing short-form and long-form videos, adding creative elements, maintaining brand consistency, and delivering high-quality content within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit engaging videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, YouTube and other social media platforms.
- Edit raw footage into polished, engaging and visually appealing content.
- Add captions, subtitles, transitions, music, sound effects, graphics and animations as required.
- Create videos that follow current social media trends and audience preferences.
- Ensure videos are properly formatted and optimized for different platforms.
- Collaborate with the content, marketing and HR teams to understand video requirements.
- Maintain consistency in branding, fonts, colours, graphics and overall visual style.
- Make revisions based on feedback and deliver final videos within agreed timelines.
- Organize and manage video files, project files and assets efficiently.
- Stay updated with new video editing techniques, social media trends and content formats.

Required Skills & Qualifications




- 2 years of professional experience in video editing.
- Strong knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar tools.
- Positive understanding of video composition, pacing, transitions, storytelling, audio and visual effects.
- Experience creating short-form social media content is preferred.
- Good understanding of Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to understand creative briefs and convert ideas into engaging videos.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote/WFH environment.
- Ability to manage multiple video projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred
- Experience working with education, ed-tech or digital content brands.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation.
- Understanding of social media trends and viral content formats.
- Experience editing talking-head, educational, promotional and marketing videos.

Portfolio Requirement

Candidates must share a portfolio/showreel of their previous video editing work.

Applications without relevant work samples may not be considered.

Compensation

₹15,000 per month
