The Asia Group is now accepting applications for a Vice President, Manufacturing & Energy, to join our South Asia practice in New Delhi. This position will support senior India leadership and the broader South Asia practice based across Current Delhi, Mumbai, and Washington D.C.

Vice President play key roles in leading and supporting the firm’s client engagement, business development, internal management, and associated efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in public policy and regulations in one or more priority manufacturing sectors, electricals and electronics, chemicals, automotives and electric vehicles, and green energies. In addition, a successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build and deepen relationships (internal and external), be proactive and entrepreneurial, and manage and mentor colleagues.

- Create and support policy-driven strategies that align with clients’ business objectives.
- Manage and mentor junior staff, including supervising and contributing to project management, product development, deliverable tracking, task assignments, and professional growth in the organization.
- Supervise and conduct research and draft memoranda for external (client) and internal (TAG) consumers related to trends across the Indo-Pacific.




- Lead or participate in regular client and other business engagements, either singularly or alongside colleagues.
- Track market and industry developments impacting client equities.
- Provide all necessary support for client and internal executive travel to India.
- Contribute to TAG business development (BD) objectives, including identifying potential BD targets, conducting outreach, and developing proposals.
- Grow a diverse network of relationships in India and the Indo-Pacific to ensure knowledge base, analytic capabilities, and expertise remain relevant and textured.
- Lead and support a range of TAG AI efforts.
- Lead and support logistical and event execution for client engagements.

- Master’s degree or equivalent academic/practical experience related to economic, industry, engineering, and/or policy issues in India.
- 8+ years of prior work experience, preferably including in a client-servicing industry or government.
- Strong grasp of industrial and trade policy making and regulations in India and relevant Ministries, Departments, and other agencies.
- Outstanding research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail, including under tight deadlines; excellent project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience in data visualization and design a plus.
- Genuine desire to learn, including through feedback from colleagues at all levels in the firm.
- Entrepreneurial team player with eagerness for professional development.

Ideal candidates will be comfortable using artificial intelligence tools — or excited to learn how — to increase efficiency, enhance analysis or deliverables, and generate innovative solutions. Familiarity with generative AI platforms or a growth mindset toward emerging technologies is a plus.

Candidates must be eligible to work in India and are expected to work in-person at the TAG New Delhi office five days per week.
