Role

Job Title: Head – Admissions, Revenue & Business Growth (North & South Regions)

Organization: Velammal Group of Schools

Location: Chennai / Regional Campuses (Requires extensive travel across North & South zones)

Job Purpose The Head – Admissions, Revenue & Growth will lead strategic student acquisition, regional revenue generation, and brand expansion across the designated North and South campus clusters of the Velammal Group of Schools. This leader will own end-to-end admission targets, operational efficiency of admission hubs, fee revenue pipelines, marketing strategy alignment, and key stakeholder engagement to deliver scalable student body growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Admission Leadership & Pipeline Management

Define, execute,



and monitor annual student enrollment targets across all delegated North and South zone campuses.

Standardize and streamline the inquiry-to-admission lifecycle across all school front-offices and counseling desks.

Conduct regular performance audits of admission counseling teams, improving conversion ratios and inquiry closure rates.

Monitor market demand, local demographics, and competitive landscapes across North and South regions to identify untapped catchment areas.

- Revenue Optimization & Business Growth

Hold P&L; ownership for regional student acquisition and fee realization targets.

Formulate competitive fee structure inputs, scholarship frameworks, and dynamic enrollment campaigns in coordination with senior executive management.

Drive retention strategies, sibling referral initiatives, and community outreach programs to build continuous referral pipelines.

Oversee corporate tie-ups, institutional partnerships, and local outreach events to boost regional admissions.

- Regional Travel & Field Operations

Maintain active field presence by conducting routine, structured visits across all assigned North and South zone campuses.

Inspect campus admission desks, counselor preparedness, parent tour experiences, and operational readiness during peak admission seasons.

- Team Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration

Lead, train,



and manage campus admission managers, counselors, and field outreach teams.

Partner closely with School Principals, Academic Directors, and Marketing Heads to ensure brand messaging alignment.

Establish clear key performance indicators (KPIs) and incentive programs for the admissions workforce.

Work Experience | 15+ years total experience, with at least 7–10 years in a senior leadership role managing revenue, admissions, or regional operations within the K-12 education, higher education, or allied education sectors. |

Regional Expertise | Strong understanding of Tamil Nadu's K-12 school landscape, parent demographics, and regional market dynamics. |

Key Skills & Competencies

Revenue Ownership: Track record of driving multi-crore top-line growth and hitting multi-campus admission targets.

Data-Driven Management: Analytical proficiency in tracking admission conversions, campaign ROI, funnel metrics, and CRM tools.

Leadership & Influence: Strong authority to command teams, train counselors, and interface directly with trust management and school principals.

- Communication & Mobility: Excellent command over English and Tamil (spoken & written), coupled with readiness for heavy travel across North and South campus clusters.
