Lead Automation Engineer UiPath | US Healthcare

Role Overview

We're looking for a hands-on Lead Automation Engineer with deep UiPath expertise and experience working in the US Healthcare domain. You'll lead the design and delivery of production bots, set engineering standards for the team, and work directly with US stakeholders. We value engineers with a software engineering mindset who pick the right approach for each problem and stay open to new tools as our stack evolves.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of UiPath automations across US healthcare workflows, including revenue cycle processes such as eligibility, prior authorization, claims, denials, AR follow-up, and payment posting.
- Integrate automations with EMR/EHR systems (eClinicalWorks experience a strong plus), payer portals, clearinghouses, and internal databases.
- Build production-grade bots with robust exception handling, retry logic, logging, and monitoring using Orchestrator queues and RE Framework.
- Set and enforce engineering standards: Git-based version control, reusable UiPath Libraries with version pinning, code reviews, and structured testing before release.
- Own production support. Troubleshoot bot failures quickly, and improve the stability and performance of existing automations.
- Mentor and lead a team of RPA developers.
- Work with US-based business and clinical stakeholders to scope requirements, estimate effort, and present solutions.
- Evaluate new approaches, such as API integrations, browser automation frameworks, and AI-assisted automation, and recommend them where they fit better than UI-based RPA.





Required Skills

- 6+ years in IT, with 4+ years of hands-on UiPath development in production environments.
- Solid expertise in UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and RE Framework; working knowledge of Action Center.
- Strong programming skills in C# beyond UiPath expressions (VB.NET also acceptable).
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON/XML, and SQL, including writing queries against relational databases.
- Experience building automations for US Healthcare clients or organizations, such as providers, payers, or healthcare technology companies.
- Experience working with US healthcare applications such as EMR/EHR systems, payer portals, or clearinghouses.
- Practical HIPAA discipline: no PHI in logs or screenshots, minimum-necessary data access, and secure credential handling (Orchestrator Assets or a credential vault).
- Clear written and spoken English for client-facing discussions.

Nice to Have

- US Healthcare RCM knowledge: claims, denials (CARC/RARC), AR follow-up, and payment posting.
- Playwright, Selenium, Puppeteer, or other browser automation frameworks.
- JavaScript/TypeScript or Node.js development experience.
- UiPath Document Understanding, OCR, or Intelligent Document Processing (EOBs, remits, faxes).
- Exposure to LLM-based workflows or AI agents, with an understanding of validation and human-in-the-loop review.
- Knowledge of EDI transactions (837, 835, 276/277, 270/271).
- Orchestration tools such as n8n, Airflow, or Power Automate.
- Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- UiPath Advanced Developer Certification (UiARD).
