Job Purpose:

To supervise the overall operations of the Textile Department, ensure excellent customer service, maintain product standards, and support sales performance. The candidate must have strong practical knowledge and experience in fabrics, readymade garments, textile brands, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Textile Department.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of different types of fabrics, their quality, usage, characteristics, and care requirements.
- Have strong knowledge of readymade garments, including men’s, ladies’, and kids’ collections.
- Maintain good knowledge of leading textile and readymade brands, their product ranges, quality, and market positioning.
- Guide customers in selecting suitable fabrics, garments, brands, sizes, colours, and styles according to their requirements.
- Lead and monitor the performance of textile sales staff.
- Ensure proper product display, merchandising, folding, arrangement, and stock presentation.
- Monitor stock availability and coordinate with the Purchase/Management team for replenishment.
- Identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving products and report the same to management.
- Monitor daily sales and achieve assigned departmental targets.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and escalated customer situations professionally.
- Train and guide staff regarding fabrics, brands, products, selling techniques,



and customer service.
- Monitor competitor products, brands, pricing, offers, and market trends.
- Ensure proper handling and protection of premium fabrics and garments.
- Coordinate with the Billing, Purchase, Warehouse, and Management teams.
- Ensure discipline, attendance, grooming, and professional conduct of department staff.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly sales and department performance reports.
- Take responsibility for achieving departmental sales and operational targets.

Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in textile retail supervision or management.
- Excellent knowledge of all major fabric categories and their practical applications.
- Strong knowledge of readymade garments and textile brands.
- Good understanding of current textile and fashion market trends.
- Strong customer-handling and sales skills.
- Ability to identify fabric quality and explain product features to customers.
- Strong team-management and leadership skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Target-oriented and capable of handling a high-volume textile showroom.
- Prior experience in a reputed textile showroom/wedding centre will be preferred.

Key Requirement: The candidate should not be limited to general supervisory experience. Strong hands-on knowledge of fabrics, readymades, brands, product quality, and customer requirements is essential for this position.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
