US & Canada IT Recruiter – Remote

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced US & Canada IT Recruiter to join our remote recruiting team. The recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, screening, qualifying, and presenting IT professionals for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire opportunities across the United States and Canada.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience recruiting for the North American market and be comfortable working with technologies, job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, ATS/CRM systems, and multiple recruiting channels.

Key Responsibilities

- Source qualified IT professionals for US and Canadian client requirements.
- Review job descriptions and understand technical skill requirements.
- Perform advanced candidate searches using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, X-Ray search, job boards, resume databases, and other sourcing platforms.
- Source candidates for positions such as Software Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Architects, DevOps Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Data Engineers, QA, Cybersecurity, and other IT roles.
- Conduct initial phone/video screens to assess technical experience, communication skills, availability, location, compensation expectations, and overall suitability.
- Verify candidate work authorization and employment status where applicable, including US Citizen, Green Card, H-1B, TN, EAD, Canadian Citizen/Permanent Resident, and other applicable statuses.
- Understand and recruit for different North American employment models such as W2, C2C, 1099, and contract positions where applicable.
- Present qualified candidates to Account Managers and clients with accurate and complete candidate information.




- Coordinate interviews between candidates and clients and maintain regular communication throughout the hiring process.
- Follow up with candidates after interviews and obtain feedback.
- Maintain accurate candidate and requisition information in the ATS/CRM.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future requirements.
- Develop relationships with candidates and maintain an active talent network.
- Meet agreed-upon daily/weekly sourcing and submission targets.
- Work closely with Account Managers and Recruiting Managers to understand requirements and hiring priorities.
- Stay informed about current technology skills, market trends, candidate availability, and compensation expectations in the US and Canadian IT markets.

Required Qualifications

- 2+ years of hands-on US and/or Canada IT recruiting experience.
- Strong understanding of the North American IT staffing/recruitment market.
- Proven experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter and job boards.
- Robust knowledge of Boolean and X-Ray search techniques.
- Experience recruiting for multiple IT/technical positions.
- Good understanding of US/Canada work authorization and employment types.
- Strong candidate screening and qualification skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong follow-up, organization, and time-management skills.
- Experience working with an ATS/CRM or recruiting database.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working for a US/Canadian staffing or recruitment agency.
- Experience recruiting candidates for both US and Canadian clients.
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Dice, ZipRecruiter, Monster, CareerBuilder, or similar platforms.
- Existing network of US/Canadian IT professionals.
- Experience recruiting for hard-to-fill technical positions.
- Experience working with multiple client requirements simultaneously.
- Familiarity with AI sourcing and recruiting automation tools.
